THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE.

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE POWER OF KNOWLEDGE.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Prov 1:7 *The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge: but fools despise wisdom and instruction.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Prov 12:1 *Whoso loveth instruction loveth knowledge: but he that hateth reproof is brutish.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Knowledge may be described as know-how.

It follows a learning process that finds fulfillment in enlightenment.

It may be different from wisdom because not everyone educated is wise or is wise in the application of what they know by knowledge.

Knowledge and understanding all find fulfillment in wisdom.

We can not talk about knowledge and understanding without wisdom.

Solomon identifies, saying that amongst those that received knowledge, there are those who put it into practise, and as a result, it shows their understanding. By doing this, they became wiser.

Prov 1:4-6 *A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels:*

Wisdom is the big litmus test. Though knowledge understanding, etc, all come from God, the Bible explicitly says we ask for wisdom, Jam 1:5.

This is because wisdom is the principal thing, so the Bible says in Prov 4:7 *Wisdom is the principal thing; therefore, get wisdom: and with all thy getting get understanding.*

God wants us educated. Prov 19:2 says *Also, that the soul be without knowledge, it is not good; and he that hasteth with his feet sinneth.*

This is why, though there is nowhere we are told of Solomon's educational exploits, he requested and chose wisdom, a principal thing!

He wanted to have a knowledge of the people, *'.....an understanding heart to judge...'* the people, 1 Kings 3:7-9.

God knew that if Solomon failed to have this, he, along with the people, would perish, Prov 29:18 Hosea 4:6.

We must never rush to ignore the ability to know and also how to rightly and effectively apply what we know to everything we do.

Wisdom becomes a true manifestation of the presence of sound knowledge and understanding. It is the correct use, application of all attainable sources of learning.

It is a decisive indicator of how knowledge and understanding are processed in a person. We must earnestly pray for it.

If you want God to use you effectively as He could, acquire good and sound knowledge with wisdom.

If you are educated and able to articulate, God could use you as effectively as He could.

However, we must know that God is sovereign and can use anyone, educated or uneducated, qualified or unqualified, lame or able, etc. There is no limit with God in any way. We must know this and subject ourselves to God on this.

Given His admonitions on knowledge, understanding, wisdom, etc, He expects we still use every available resource of teachings, receiving instructions which are all products of education.

All these, in addition to asking Him, primarily, are key to a well enlightened child of God.

If besides all that is available, you choose to be uneducated or uninformed, God may still use you, but He may not be able to use you effectively as He would have wished.

*Remorse corner.*

Take time to invest in educating yourself.

*Call to Word action..*

2 Timothy 3:14 *But continue thou in the things which thou hast learned and hast been assured of, knowing of whom thou hast learned them;*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

2 Timothy 2:2 *And the things that thou hast heard of me among many witnesses, the same commit thou to faithful men, who shall be able to teach others also.*

*Prayer.*

Lord, as l seek knowledge, let me be wise, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you go today.

God bless you.
