THE POWER OF INFORMATION

Esther 2:21-23: ► In those days, while Mordecai sat in the king's gate, two of the king's chamberlains, Bigthan and Teresh, of those which kept the door, were wroth, and sought to lay hands on the king Ahasuerus. And the thing was known to Mordecai, who told it unto Esther the queen; and Esther certified the king thereof in Mordecai's name. And when inquisition was made of the matter, it was found out; therefore they were both hanged on a tree: and it was written in the book of the chronicles before the king.

Insight and Highlight Information is power, staying informed is empowerment. Scripture Commentaries Information is power, timely information, when heeded, is a life saver. Information, especially Divine, increase knowledge: Dan 12:4 ► But you, Daniel, shut up the words and seal the book, until the time of the end. Many shall run to and fro, and knowledge shall increase. Many have lost vital opportunities to lack of information. Worst still, many have perished for ignoring pertinent information. The word of God is the book of wisdom for living. The preacher says the proverbs of Solomon is to "To know wisdom and instruction; to perceive the words of understanding; To receive the instruction of wisdom...to the young man knowledge and discretion. ► Prov 1: 2-4. A vital information of a mutiny reached king Ahasuerus, in our text of today. The information was passed through Queen Esther to the king. The king did not despise the source but acted promptly after due and dilligent investigation. He lived to consolidate his reign to the end. Today, we are accessible to information more than we were, years back. Social media has dwarfed distance across the globe, yet many continue to perish, not for lack of information but for some non-challant disposition to vital and verifiable information. Those who ignore or refuse to receive vital and Divine information capable of giving them knowledge will soon perish. Rejecting knowledge is tantamount to rejecting God....Hosea 4:6 ► My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge: because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee....." Remorse corner Act promptly but investigate information. Check for accuracy, do not be biased. Though not all information is informative or thought provoking, but many do save lives and are highly educational. Call to Word Action Prov 1:5 ► A wise man will hear, and will increase learning; and a man of understanding shall attain unto wise counsels: The Christian clarion duty If you know that you do not know, you will strive to know what you do not know. Prayer Lord, open my eyes to see, hear and follow Divine information. Allow me not to be careless to care less following Divine directives in Jesus name.
