THE POWER OF INFLUENCE (8).

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE POWER OF INFLUENCE (8).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Hebrews 6:18 *That by two immutable things, in which it was impossible for God to lie, we might have a strong consolation, who have fled for refuge to lay hold upon the hope set before us:*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God can not lie.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

It is either someone influences you rightly or wrongly.

There are wordly influencers, and there are righteous influencers.

They both operate in the name of influence

Abraham's life was righteously impacted by God. The influence we reap from Abraham's life is a product and a direct influence of God in His life.

Abraham who believed God knew that God would not want to sacrifice Isaac because God had promised him in Gen 21:12 that *"....in Isaac shall thy seed be called.”,*

Also, Abraham, by his fervent walk with God, knew God does not delight in human sacrifice.

Though the law had not been written by Moses concerning this, Abraham was trusted by God as having been well known by God, and Abraham himself knew God and what God wanted, Gen 18:19.

We must know that God knows His own, and He tells or leads them to things that are not common to every other person.

Abraham took up the challenge, and his life never remained the same.

God tested him by His request for Isaac, and he did not fail.

God requested for the same Isaac whom He had told Abraham He would establish Abraham's seed.

Abraham knew God would not take Isaac because God would not lie concerning His promise for Isaac.

God was right. He got the man He wanted.

Abraham was right, He got the God He wanted.

People whom God raises after His character, attributes, works, or deeds will conform to the likeness of God. They, in return, will produce and influence followers after the likeness of God Himself, Acts 11:26.

*Remorse corner.*

God will not request for what He knows He has not given you.

*Call to Word action.*

Who in the first place has regarded Abraham as special to be tested like this?

Who has set him aside as special for this test? Was it not God?

What did he have that he had not received from God?

Why would he boast or refuse God, as if he had not received Isaac from God? Why would he restrain Isaac from God as if he had gained him by himself, ref 1 Cor 4:7

*The Christian clarion duty.*

It takes a person who knows God to know that what is unreasonable is not unreasonably beyond reach.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to influence minds to do Your will, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
