THE POWER OF INFLUENCE (4).

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE POWER OF INFLUENCE (4).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Gen 22:5 *And Abraham said unto his young men, Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

We can influence people by our faith rather than people influencing us by their lack of faith.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Abraham influenced generations.

There are times in our lives when we are at a crossroad and the decision we make will either impact present or future generations positively or negatively.

Abraham was a great faith influencer, but one may ask why Abraham did not inform anyone of God's directive to sacrifice Isaac.

Today, we will look at one of the ways and how this makes him to remain an influence to generations.

First, the story of Abraham teaches us that there are times we can be our own influencer, and by this we can influence the faith of others.

If your influence is not as powerful as the people you are trying to influence, you will not make any impactful change in their lives.

In the area of influence, it is either you influence someone in the right way or they influence you the wrong way.

By his faith, Abraham strongly influenced the faith of the faithless.

God tested Abraham (Gen 22:1) and the test will forever remain in our hearts. God told him to sacrifice Isaac, his son whom God had said in him shall Abraham's seed be called.

Though God reserves us the advise to to listen to godly counsel, Abraham showed us that when God tests us, He expects that we respond to Him first according to how we truly see and know Him.

Abraham showed us how one could remain unshaken in the midst of a hard test or decision

In Gen 22:5, Abraham said to the young men that followed him

*....Abide ye here with the ass; and I and the lad will go yonder and worship, and come again to you.*

From this passage, Abraham was telling his servants that he and Isaac were coming back. He was sure by faith.

He did not tell his young men what he was going to do, peradventure they may discourage him.

When we know God, we may not need

anyone to convince us on what He wants us to do.

When we know God, we will influence people by our faith in God rather than they influencing us against God.

Abraham was a high stake faith Influencer. His faith helped him to overcome his fear and doubt in God.

He showed us that you can not influence people's lives when you can not influence your own life.

His faith is a powerful influence that would help the fearful believer of any generation, peradventure, they find themselves in any crossroad.

His faith was a faith that encourages anyone to trust in God, and make Him be his/her stake!

You can powerfully influence someone's faith today.

*Remorse corner.*

When we trust in God, though it may appear as a lot of risks, we can be sure there will be no room for regrets!

*Call to Word action.*

Abraham became a faith influencer to all generations, Gal 3:6-9. He is forever honored for his obedience.

Rom 4:3 *Abraham believed God, and it was counted unto him for righteousness.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The power of your influence will depend on whether it is God's word and your word or God's word against your word?

*Prayer.*

Lord, give me enough faith in order to powerfully influence the faith of others in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
