Genesis 37:28 *Then there passed by Midianites merchantmen; and they drew and lifted up Joseph out of the pit, and sold Joseph to the Ishmeelites for twenty pieces of silver: and they brought Joseph into Egypt.*

If you do not quit, the pit you have fallen into could be the platform God will raise you.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

There are high and lows in the journey of life.

Going to Egypt may have seemed to Joseph as the "end of life", but it was actually the beginning of God's fulfillment of His promises.

David, the youngest of eight sons of Jesse, was at his low when he was not arranged with his brothers. He was not revealed until Samuel enquired from Jesse. Samuel was told David was keeping the sheep.

David was an example of an "unsung hero" who did much but was given little or no recognition. He could be said to be in the pit of his life, 1 Sam 16:6-12.

You are in a pit in life when you are forgotten when you ought to be remembered or when you are "dwarfed" by life's enemies in order to draw you back in life.

People find themselves in the pit of life due to hateful resentments from the enemies of their lives, Gen 37: 26-28.

Are you in the pit of life?

There is hope!

God is not a prisoner of His will and wishes. He can do as He wills and wishes.

He can raise a beggar from the dunghill to sit with princes, 1 Sam 2:8.

The more down you are, the lowest also can God go so as to lift you up, Ps 40:2.

You are not seen in a pit, but when God turns it into a platform, people who never saw or recognized you will begin to see you as a spotlight.

Mephiboseth was in a pit of life, but when God remembered him, he became a spotlight, 2 Sam 9.

There is no mountain too high God cannot reach or valley too low He cannot descend.

He is God of the mountains and God of the valley, the Most High God.

He will find you to lift you up.

What is a pit to you is a platform for elevation to Him.

Remember, your lowest moment in life could be your greatest place of testimony

Pits can be platforms to divine elevation.

The deeper the pit, the more reachable and raiseable it becomes, to God.

Psalm 40:2: *He brought me up also out of an horrible pit, out of the miry clay, and set my feet upon a rock, and established my goings.*

As far as God is concerned, what you are in now may be a pit, but God sees it as a platform.

*Prayer.*

Lord, lift me up from the pit and place me on higher grounds, in Jesus name.
