2 Thess 2:5-8
*Remember ye not, that, when I was yet with you, I told you these things?*
*And now ye know what withholdeth that he might be revealed in his time.*
*For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way.*
*And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming:*

Though we do not know what the devil looks like or his form. This is a mystery to us, but this mystery behind the iniquity we can see around us today is already at work in this world.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Many of us may wish to know what the devil looks like.
Satan is the mystery of iniquity. His form or what he looks like is unknown to us and is a mystery, but we can see him through his iniquity, 2 Thess 2:7.
Paul admonished he would be *"....revealed in his time,* 2 Thess 2:6
Many may wish he is revealed to us in these times in human form. The Bible already gives us an indication that *"...we are not fighting with flesh and blood but against principalities and powers...."* Eph 6:12
This and his activities are all we know. These tell us the devil and his demons are spirit beings who can occupy the bodies of creatures of God in order to operate in any human or animal form, Gen 3.
Paul came to tell us that there is one who *"...withholdeth.."* the *"...man of sin..."* from being revealed to us, 2 Thess 2:6
Paul further calls Him the one *....who now letteth..."* Paul further says when *...the one who letteth now will let and ....."* the mystery man behind iniquity will be revealed.
Then the man of iniquity shall be destroyed *".....with the brightness....."* of the coming of the *"...one who letteth..."*
Until such a time, we can not know what the devil looks like.
The one who presently *"..letteth..."* and the one coming to destroy with His brightness is the Holy Spirit
To explain to those who are wondering what the devil looks like, all we need them to know is that he was created and beautiful. He rebelled in pride and was thrown down to the earth.This is why we have him here with us, Isaiah 14:12-17.
Furthermore, you may not wish to know what he looks like because all you need to know is his evil works and guard against them.
You further know how to resist him and what you need to do to overcome him.
If, however, you are eager to know, it is not unbiblical to wish to know. You will only have to wait for the time this mystery of iniquity and the man of sin behind it is revealed, 2 Thess 2:5-7.
He is the Wicked and has everything satanic, 2 Thess 2:8-12.
Right now, we can only see him through the people he possesses.
Wondering where he came from?
He was from Heaven. He was not sent but fell from Heaven.
He wanted to be equal with God, Isaiah 14:14
He did not come down but was *... cut down..."*, Isaiah 14:12.
Satan will no longer be in Heaven but will be *"....brought down to hell, to the sides of the pit."* Isaiah 14:15
The truth is that Satan is here with us on earth because he was cast out of heaven to *"... the ground...."*, and he made the *"...world as a wilderness, and destroyed the cities thereof;"*, lsaiah 14:17.
He operates in this atmosphere as
*"...the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now worketh in the children of disobedience:"*, Eph 2:2
Do not be ignorant of this
Remember, 2 Cor 2:11 *"......so that Satan will not outsmart us. For we are familiar with his evil schemes.*

Are you asking what the devil looks like? It is the mystery of iniquity. Only through the Spirit can we know how he looks like. It is when the *....one who letteth lets...*.

Do not spend time trying to know what the devil looks like. Remember 2 Thess 2:15
*Therefore, brethren, stand fast, and hold the traditions which ye have been taught, whether by word, or our epistle.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
All we know now are that he was made beautiful, his rebellion, his evil works, his evil possessions of humans or creatures, and how we can subdue and conquer him.
Let us concentrate and follow the word of God and the Sword of the Spirit, Eph 6.

James 4:7 *Therefore, submit to God. Resist the devil, and he will flee from you.*
Lord, help me as l resist Satan in Jesus name.
