Insight and Highlight.
Christ would rather have you tell others as witness to salvation than as a miracle receiver, Matt 28:19-20, 2 Tim 4:5.
Scripture Commentaries.
We continue to look at the devil's manipulations, and another major machinery is miracles.
We will look at a leg of this today, which is a form of deception through stage performance rather than true crusade outreach.
Miracles are good, and we all need them. Jesus wants miracles for us, and He did many miracles.
However, the devil's manipulation of miracles has taken an alarming turn in today's world than it was decades ago.
In Matt 8:3-4, Jesus was not saying miracles should not be made known, but He was saying that due honor must be given to God rather than be made a source or wheel of fame.
It is not to breed a preacher-healer
to a most respected one or probably as the only credible miracle he will ever perform but to see God behind him and as the source of the miracle.
As important as miracles are, God wants us to be careful of a religious system where people create a cult of personality for themselves as miracle workers.
God can give to any of His vessels the privilege of the gift of miracles.
Today, social-tech bonding within certain groups has enhanced what is expected by all to be holy crusades to be calculated dramatic actions.
Able and wireless connects through transmitted messages are used to dub God's voices declaring already known medical conditions as prophecies from God.
Declared prophecies appear as real from God and as accurate enough to beat any human suspicion.
Most true of such manipulations are true of staged miracles, especially televised or through visual communication devices.
Though we expect miracles from God but miracles are subject to God's timing. We may pray, yet it may not happen while it is also possible that we pray, and they happen.
To prepare a camera to a set scene in order to record its outcome is no longer miraculous but a calculated attempt to deceive onlookers.
When it comes to gathering God's people, we can only record what we can control. For example, reaching out to the world through preaching and winning souls, etc, but preparing a camera ahead of performing a miracle may leave room for reasonable suspicion.
Many have been scammed to believe in some purported miracles done to some people in the name of Christ.
Many have been brought to populate the church not by their testimonies of how they were saved but by the deliverance by miracles they had received. Most churches are named after deliverance than salvation, and most sermons are centered on every other need except salvation.
We must know that miracles are spontaneous. They are usually without premeditation.
They are different from testimonies. Testimonies can be prepared for televising because they can be real.
Though some can be manipulated too, like miracles, we find solace in that God makes us know those that are impulsive reality.
Miracles from spiritual bogeymen may appear God-inspired, but they are life-threatening rather than life-saving.
Becareful!
Remorse corner.
Becareful. The devil has studied what society considered authentic and engineered it accordingly through miracles by none other than his agents who are spiritual bogeymen.
Call to Word action.
The devil will defend its acts, and you will defend him also if you fail to hear and receive the truth of Christ's word.
The Christian clarion duty.
John 8:32 And ye shall know the truth, and the truth shall make you free.
Prayer.
Lord, help me that l do not become a victim of deception, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
