THE KINGDOM SEARCH
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THE KINGDOM SEARCH.*
Matthew 13:44 *Again, the kingdom of heaven is like unto treasure hid in a field; the which when a man hath found, he hideth, and for joy thereof goeth and selleth all that he hath, and buyeth that field.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
The parables of the hidden treasure and pearl teach with a question: What are you after, the Kindgom of God or your lusts?
At creation, everything God created was good. Nothing was lacking.
Adam was *"....put.... into the garden of Eden to dress it and to keep it*,,Gen 2:15.
He was *"...free to eat from any tree in the garden;"*, Gen 2:15. He did not have to plant the tree from which he would eat. No seed time but there was harvest for him. God did everything that man may have everything.
When man fell, the search for livelihood began. He must *"till the ground in sweat before he can harvest"* Gen 3:19-24.
He must search to find and he will not find unless he searched.
He must search for knowledge, wisdom, prosperity, wife etc..
The Kingdom search includes, workers, laborers, faithful and wise stewards, ref Matt 9:37, Luke 12:42.
Abraham besought God and God agreed that He will not destroy the cities of Sodom and Gomorrah if he finds 50 righteous. The count went down to ten. None was found, Gen 18: 26-32.
The Prophet Ezekiel said in Ezk 22:30 that God was searching for a man just to pray, to repair and stand in the gap, Ezk 22:30 He found none, not as though He could not create one but that He may prove many are more interested in their own than others.
How we have gone after our own lusts to the detriment of the Kingdom.
Inspite of delinquencies, we are encouraged in the word of God that God is never without someone faithful.
Be encouraged, there are faithfuls who remain to the end.
You can be one of them if you are humble enough.
The examples of faithfuls are the heroes in the hallmark of faith in Heb 11.
Many of us today, are only faithful as long as our expectations last. We look for a city whose builder is man not God.
Eyes are no longer fixed on God and how He feels.
God sees us all. He knows what you and l are after, whether it is the Kingdom or our lusts?
He has gone ahead of us, waiting at the rear end. What reward will He have for you?
God is still active and passionate in Kingdom search. He finds His right choice(s) with the right heart.
