*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*THE IRONY OF LIFE.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Eccl 2:11 *Then I looked on all the works that my hands had wrought, and on the labour that I had laboured to do: and, behold, all was vanity and vexation of spirit, and there was no profit under the sun.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
The irony of life is when life gives us the opposite of our expectations.
Whichever way life turns, we can find solace in Christ to give us our expected end
*Scripture Commentaries.*
The irony of life dictates that a person can be hardworking yet be unproductive and unprofitable, Eccl 2:11
Having much money does not necessarily bring joy, Eccl 5:10.
Though God has given the power for the rich to eat, he has plenty of food, but he may have no appetite, Eccl 5:19, 6:2.
ln today's world, having a privileged medical system does not guarantee life.
Having any form of security (or modern state of art security systems) does not guarantee safety, Psalm 127:1.
All these point to the irony of life, which tells us that life can give us something that has a different or opposite result from what is expected.
You just can not predict life.
Nobody is satisfied with anything, Eccl 2:10.
The only thing we can predict about life is that no one is bigger than life. It will out live everyone one day.
It will continue anytime anyone departs it, if Jesus tarries.
However, there are life ironies supported in God's word.
Though we are weak, we are strong, Joel 3:10 *".....let the weak say, I am strong.”*
The race, usually meant to be won by the fastest, is given to the one who is not the fastest but is favored by God, Rom 9:17.
It tells us God is the only answer to life's setbacks.
Is life giving you the opposite of your expectations?
Remember the word of God in Prov 23:18
*For surely there is an end; and thine expectation shall not be cut off.*
When life disappoints, Christ appoints!
*Remorse corner.*
Whatever life has to offer, Christ offers better.
*Call to Word action.*
Jeremiah 29:11 *For I know the thoughts that I think toward you, saith the LORD, thoughts of peace, and not of evil, to give you an expected end.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Life can not be greater than its Creator.
Christ can iron out every irony of your life.
Whichever way life goes, Christ goes ahead, and He is on top of it all.
*Prayer.*
Lord, turn every life's disappointment to achieve and fulfill an expected end for me, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
