*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE I AM THAT I AM.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Exd 3:13-14 *And Moses said unto God, Behold, when I come unto the children of Israel, and shall say unto them, The God of your fathers hath sent me unto you; and they shall say to me, What is his name? what shall I say unto them?*

*And God said unto Moses, I AM THAT I AM: and he said, Thus shalt thou say unto the children of Israel, I AM hath sent me unto you.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

God, as the I AM' is saying 'l am who l say l am'. 'I am present and active'.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Who else could face Pharaoh besides God? Moses had been in Egypt for forty years. He knew the strength of the empire built around Pharaoh.

One may want to reason with Moses for his excuses before God, but he must go with the mandate to deliver the Israelites.

He saw this mandate as a daunting task or possibly a journey of no return.

There are situations in our lives that scare us. They can be life-threatening. Only the intervention of God could conquer for us.

How?

First, by God touching the heart of an oppressor like Pharaoh.

Prov 21:1 says *The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.*

Secondly, by a strong hand of God, showing His power in judgment against an oppressor like Pharaoh.

God knew the power of oppression in Pharaoh. Moses may have forgotten that God told him that Pharaoh would be stubborn. God said to Moses in

Exodus 3:19 *And I am sure that the king of Egypt will not let you go, no, not by a mighty hand.*

Thirdly, it would seem the children of Israel needed to be convinced that though God may have appeared to be absent all along, He had been there with them these four centuries.

God told Moses to tell them,'I AM' had sent him. The people seemed to have lost hope of whether God still remembered them.

Fourthly, it tells us that no one could win the battle of life without God.

We just can not do it without Him.

From the foregoing, we see that only by God's intervention will Moses succeed over Pharaoh.

We must know there are strongholds. There are wicked people. They have made themselves strong and powerful. They are principalities and powers. They are wicked and evil personified.

To underate these evil people is to expose ourselves to serious danger.

We must know them and their schemes and use our spiritual weapons to fight and destroy them, Eph 6.

Today, as in times of old, there are still the likes of Pharaoh and Herod.

Only God on our side will utterly destroy them.

To win them, you must be on God's side as Moses was, and God must be on your side.

When the I AM goes before you, you can be sure He has sent you.

When the I AM sends you, you can be sure, He will go before you.

*Remorse corner.*

To win the battle of life, the I AM must be with you!

*Call to Word action.*

Christ is the 'I AM'. Do you have Him in your life?

John 8:58 *Jesus said unto them, Verily, verily, I say unto you, Before Abraham was, I am.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

God can not deny Himself!

He sent Moses. Moses saw, and He conquered!

*Prayer.*.

God, help me to fight my battles in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
