*THE CREATIVE POWER OF GOD (7).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Psalm 139:13-17
*For thou hast possessed my reins: thou hast covered me in my mother's womb.*
*I will praise thee; for I am fearfully and wonderfully made: marvellous are thy works; and that my soul knoweth right well.*
*My substance was not hid from thee, when I was made in secret, and curiously wrought in the lowest parts of the earth.*
*Thine eyes did see my substance, yet being unperfect; and in thy book all my members were written, which in continuance were fashioned, when as yet there was none of them.*
*How precious also are thy thoughts unto me, O God! how great is the sum of them!*
*Insight and Highlight.*
In God's creativeness, He knows the end of every human and things He created.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
We began to look at some reasons why God exercises His distinctive creative power.
Firstly, God is sovereign. He is supreme. He does and creates as He pleases, Psa 115:3, 135:6.
Secondly, there are people created for destruction.
Thirdly, why would God create some people for honour while some are unto dishonour.
Today we will look at the third reason.
One of mind-boggling questions is 'why would God create some people for honour while some are unto dishonor'?
Whether or not we ask, God owes no one an explanation. We can not question His motives or actions, tef Heb 11:33.
This unique act of God is behind several statements we see in the bible.
Rom 9:13 *As it is written, Jacob have I loved, but Esau have I hated.*
Rom 9:17 tells us how God raised Pharaoh up, that He might show His power in him and that His name might be declared throughout all the earth.
2 Tim 2:20, Rom 9:21, the stories of Jacob, Esau, Pharaoh, Judas, etc, teach us that God's choice to make a vessel unto honour or dishonour simply points to the foreknowledge of God which tells us that God knows the end of everyman.
God's creative power is more than God creating some unto dishonour or unto vessels of honour but about who God knows they would eventually become in life.
He knew everything from creation, even before creation.
Though God has a perfect plan for everyone, He knows those who would derail from it. He knows those who will depart from His righteous ways to follow wickedness and those through whom He would fulfil His plans for mankind.
He tells us He knows the end from the beginning.
Isaiah 46:10 *Declaring the end from the beginning, and from ancient times the things that are not yet done, saying, My counsel shall stand, and I will do all my pleasure:*
He foretold the end of King Saul though he chose him for a great beginning.
He told Rebecca that two nations were in her womb and the elder would serve the younger, Gen 25:23.
Rom 9:11 says *(For the children being not yet born, neither having done any good or evil, that the purpose of God according to election might stand, not of works, but of him that calleth;)*
God is fully aware of who would be honorable and those who would be dishonorable.
Psalm 94:9-11:
*He that planted the ear, shall he not hear? he that formed the eye, shall he not see?*
*He that chastiseth the heathen, shall not he correct? he that teacheth man knowledge, shall not he know?*
*The Lord knoweth the thoughts of man, that they are vanity.*
*Remorse corner.*
The creative power of God to make one unto honour and the other unto dishonour is founded on God's unique ability to know who a person would become in life from the beginning of his life.
*Call to Word action.*
Jer 1:5 *Before I formed thee in the belly I knew thee; and before thou camest forth out of the womb I sanctified thee, and I ordained thee a prophet unto the nations.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Foresight, foreknowledge, predictability in election and predestination (Eph 4:4-5) are all fundamental truth behind God's creative power.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to be Your perfect will for Your creation. Let me start well and end well in Your creative existence in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
