*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE CREATIVE POWER OF GOD.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Rom 1:23-25

*And changed the glory of the uncorruptible God into an image made like to corruptible man, and to birds, and fourfooted beasts, and creeping things.*

*Wherefore God also gave them up to uncleanness through the lusts of their own hearts, to dishonour their own bodies between themselves:*

*Who changed the truth of God into a lie, and worshipped and served the creature more than the Creator, who is blessed for ever. Amen.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

The sin of man is so grievous that God would destroy them by the same power He created them.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The creative power of God or God's creative power is under attack and is most doubted by some if not many people.

The creative power of God is clear and worthy of praise. Though we can not see God, we can see the works of His hands and we can see people around us who are in the image and character of God.

Psalm 19:1 says *The heavens declare the glory of God; the firmament proclaims the work of his hands.*

Psalm 8:3 *When I consider thy heavens, the work of thy fingers, the moon and the stars, which thou hast ordained;*

So without our seeing God, we can see the works of His hands all around us.

In creation the psalmist says in

Psalm 102:25:  *ln the beginning you laid the foundations of the earth, and the heavens are the work of your hands."*

However, not everyone created by God believes in the existence of God and that He created the world and the firmament s and all there is in.

Some or many people believe that nothing in existence is attributable to God. If they can not believe God created the world in His wisdom and word, they can not believe His existence and personality, ref Psalm 14.

Whether or not we say that people God created could frustrate God, we know that humans make God regretful that He created them.

Gen 6:6 says God did not only regret He created man, it also grieved Him.

*And it repented the LORD that he had made man on the earth, and it grieved him at his heart.*

God can not be frustrated but He can be regretful, provoked and grieved, Numb 14:22, Eph 4:30.

It is important for believers to see how God feels this way and take a cue from it. If God who is All-powerful can be made to regret humans that He created after Himself how much more His followers whom the same humans run down for the sake of Christ.

Humans have made themselves God's number one enemies.

He did not destroy the earth with flood in the days of Noah because of animals. He destroyed it because of the sins of man and when he hoped to provide a solution by the building of the ark, all animals as instructed by God obeyed Noah to go into the ark, both male and female, Gen 6:7-16. Only humans failed to go in except Noah *".....and Shem, and Ham, and Japheth, the sons of Noah, and Noah's wife, and the three wives of his sons with them, into the ark"*

From the day God told Noah, He would destroy the earth, the human race fell into crisis.

Gen 6:13 *And God said unto Noah, The end of all flesh is come before me; for the earth is filled with violence through them; and, behold, I will destroy them with the earth.*

Though God gave solutions, Gen 9:11, the children of men became progressively rebellious, Gen 11.

Ever since God created man, He has used the same divine power He used to create them to destroy them.

By His word, He created and by His word, He destroys.

We must choose to live in ways that make God happy.

Do not provoke God's creative power.

Appreciate Him and the works of His hands.

*Remorse corner.*

While the creative power of God is worthy of all praise, it can be a source of destruction if we are against God.

*Call to Word action.*

Those who changed the natural use of God's creative power in their lives were given up by God *".....over to a reprobate mind, to do those things which are not convenient;"*, Rom.1: 21-32.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The same divine power used to create the universe will be the same power that brings about the final destruction of God's enemies.

*Prayer.*

Lord help me to live and reverence Your creative power. Do not let me be destroyed by the same power by which You created me in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.

Shalom.
