THE CHILDREN'S BREAD (4)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*THE CHILDREN'S BREAD (4)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Obadiah 1:17 *But upon mount Zion shall be deliverance, and there shall be holiness; and the house of Jacob shall possess their possessions.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Daniel 11:32 *And such as do wickedly against the covenant shall he corrupt by flatteries: but the people that do know their God shall be strong, and do exploits.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Besides salvation and healing which form parts of the children's bread, there are other works of God that are children's bread.

One of them is deliverance. Deliverance is children's bread.

Prayer breeds deliverance. There is no deliverance without prayer.

Jesus exhorts us to pray (Matt 6:9-13, 26:40, Luke 18:1), but He says something more with respect to prayer.

First, He says if His people could humble themselves and pray, 2 Chron 7:14.

Second, we should not cease to pray, 1 Thess 5:17.

Third, He says if His people are one in agreement in prayer, He promises His presence in their midsts, Matt 18:19-20.

Fourth, if His people would believe by faith, He says nothing shall be impossible for them, Matt 17:20

Fifth, He says, though everybody would pray, but there is a special place with God for the effectual fervent prayer of the righteous, Jam 5:16.

For deliverance to occur, prayer and the willingness to be delivered are key.

Though deliverance is children's bread, a child of God could miss this bread if he prays amiss (Jam 4:3), is not willing to be delivered or careless with deliverance, Matt 12:43-45.

Daniel said those who know their God shall be strong and will do exploits.

This teaches us that to be delivered, to remain delivered, and to continue to operate successfully in the Kingdom is serious Kindgom business.

People can refuse the word and thus pave way for the lack of word enough to deliver them, ref Mark 6:4-5.

Their refusal further diverts deliverance to others who needed it, Mark 6:7.

Do not lose your children's bread by refusing your deliverance.

*Remorse corner.*

The people in Jesus' hometown did not honor Jesus so He could not do as much as He would have wanted.

*Call to Word action.*

Too much familiarity could rob one of the children's bread.

Mark 6:4 *But Jesus said, "Prophets are honored by everyone, except the people of their hometown and their relatives and their own family."*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Refusal to refuse the word, careless attitudes, and familiarity often make long-time believers lose their deliverance to newly born believers, even to strangers at times.

*Prayer.*

Help me not to miss my time of visitation. Let not my deliverance be deferred, in Jesus name.

Good morning all and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
