We ought not to miss out on healing.
Jeremiah 33:6 *Behold, I will bring it health and cure, and I will cure them, and will reveal unto them the abundance of peace and truth.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
We ought not to miss out on healing, but it often happens.
All Christians must know that it is God's will to heal His people, Deut 7:15 and we can live a sickness free life, Deut 34:7. So there is divine healing, and there is divine wholeness.
Healing is subject to God's sovereignty, which is, to give it as He pleases, John 5:1-8, and it can also be conditional, Exd 15: 26.
Bible records great men of God who died of sickness, 2 Kgs 13:14 and one who lived with infirmities of thorn in the flesh, 2 Cor 12:7.
Any child of God who has an infirmity is assured he/she is in no way lesser than one without an infirmity.
God often allows this sickness or infirmity that His name will be glorified, John 9:1-3, 11:3.
The child of God must know that Christianity is not just about removal of weaknesses but that God may be glorified in our weaknesses, 2 Cor 12:9.
Sickness can be obstructive to God's work and painfully discouraging. It makes us bitter than better, and it is easier to comfort those in this situation than experience one.
God knows this, and He gives grace, 2 Cor 12:9.
Concerning sickness, all Christians must further know:
First, not all sicknesses are a result of sin against God, Job 1.
Second, God often answers His people by terrible things in righteousness, Ps 65:5.
Third, God is ever concerned about our health, but many of our sicknesses are due to uncontrolled eating habits (ref Prov 23:2, 23:31-33) and careless ways of life.
Careless ways of life? Yes, a Christian can be careless and often carnal, 1 Cor 3:3-9.
All Christians must know that we can seek specialists, physicians, and therapists endowed by God to help us deal with self-made problems, for example, self-induced sicknesses and addiction. It is not anti faith to seek medical attentions, observe regular physicals and checkups. Remember Luke was a physician, Col 4:14.
You can not be driving a car for a whole year without servicing it, even when there is no known problem with it. Your body may break down without any warning!
Fourth, Satan can be the source of sickness, but nothing is unknown to God. If He did not allow it, it would not happen, but why would God allow it?
The best answer can not be found here, but only God knows why, and He has all the answers.
We are, however, comforted by what He reveals to us through His words.
We all must be aware that God is not easily provoked. It took a space of ten times for Israel's provocation to get on His nerves. The provocation was non-stop, Numb 14: 20-23.
God will not willingly afflict us, Lam 3:31-33.
We must learn to encourage ourselves and continue to remind ourselves of the goodness of God. Even the Apostle Paul, though with the thorn in his flesh, still encouraged saying in 3 John 2 that *Beloved, I wish above all things that thou mayest prosper and be in health, even as thy soul prospereth.*
Are you sick? God has not forgotten you. Be assured that healing is still your bread because you are still alive, Job 14: 7,14.

God has feelings, and He is going through it with you.
Heb 4:15 *For we have not an high priest which cannot be touched with the feeling of our infirmities; but was in all points tempted like as we are, yet without sin.*

Are you sick?
God still heals. It is your bread! He has the name to Himself. He is the Jehovah Rapha.
*Prayer.*
Lord, please show mercy. Let me live a sickness free life. I declare that since healing is Kindgom children's bread, it is my bread, in Jesus name.
