TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH (2).

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*TELL YOURSELF THE TRUTH (2)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

Rom 9:1 *l say the truth in Christ, I lie not, my conscience also bearing me witness in the Holy Ghost,*

*Insight and Highlight.*

If you are telling the truth, your conscience with bear witness to the Spirit of Truth

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Paul further tells us about our heart, conscience, and the Holy Spirit, Rom 9:1.

He admonished Timothy in 1 Tim 1:5

*Now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart, and of a good conscience, and of faith unfeigned:*

While he and several patriarchs and matriarchs served as perfect examples of a pure conscience, David deserves a mention.

He serves as a perfect example of a heart and conscience that feel for others.

1 Sam 24:5 *And it came to pass afterward, that David's heart smote him, because he had cut off Saul's skirt.*

One thing we must know is that come what situation we find ourselves, our conscience has a voice and it will speak whether what he speaks favors us or not.

The human conscience is a power house, though less powerful compared to the Holy Spirit.

For your conscience to tell you the truth, it must bear witness to the Spirit of truth, the Holy Ghost, Rom 9:1.

So when you lie and your conscience is not pricked or does not condemn you, you are of a depraved mind, cold hearted, no empathy and no heart of flesh that could respond to how others feel.

At this point in your life, Paul says your conscience is dead.

1 Tim 4:1-2 *Now the Spirit speaketh expressly, that in the latter times some shall depart from the faith, giving heed to seducing spirits, and doctrines of devils;*

*Speaking lies in hypocrisy; having their conscience seared with a hot iron;*

Paul is also saying here that there can be people with bad conscience.

As the Holy Spirit can control conscience, so can the devil.

When the devil is in control, we say of such a person that he/she does not have a conscience because his/her heart or conscience is not bearing witness with God.

Where is your conscience?

Does what you say bear witness with your conscience and the Holy Ghost?

Better still, where is the place of the Spirit in your life?

*Remorse corner.*

If your heart or conscience is used to lies, you will not be used to the truth.

*Call to Word action.*

A pure conscience is a pure heart. A pure heart is a pure conscience, 1 Tim 1:5.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

There can not be a pure heart and conscience without the presence of the Holy Ghost

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me. Let what I say bear witness with my conscience and the Holy Spirit of Truth, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
