*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *TAKE CARE OF YOUR WIFE.* *Scripture Treasure.* SoS 4:7 (NIV) *You are altogether beautiful, my darling; there is no flaw in you.* *Insight and Highlight.* Men are moved by what they see, women like and are moved by what they hear. *Scripture Commentaries.* Both men and women have the tendency to manifest intolerable attitudes. Uncontrolled anger, self centerdness, greed, miserliness etc are some of many unbearable attitudes prominent in both men and women in marriages. Self control by the man and woman, is key to Godly attitude. Have control and rule over your spirit (Prov 16:32). At times, it is hard to point who the guilty party is in any relationship. This is because a partner's bad attitude may be as a result or a direct consequence(s) of the bad attitude of the other. Remember both parties to marriage need to work on themselves. As a wife, do not point fingers at your husband when you are most unbearable in character. Both men and women must work to keep the sanctity of a holy marital vow unto God. Wives, there is no way you can change a man when you refuse to change yourself. You cannot discover a man when you have failed to discover yourself. However, In the society of today even from times of old, we can have an educated guess that most men may be more blameable for most household breakdowns, emotional stresses and disorderliness. Unfaithfulness to our marital vows and family responsibilities have made some men *" keepers of other people's vineyards; while they have left their own unkept, ref SoS 1: 6. The obvious mental torture on women is clearly evident and more widely noticed and this has called for great concerns. The trauma and stigma often remain indelible for generations. It is an unequivocal truth that most women are in their matrimonial homes, first because of their children and second because they want to stay/remain married not because they are still in love. Some or most women are dying in silence just because they want to remain married. Some singles have remained such because of the ugliness they see in marriages. Remember, there is a place for prayer and a place for counsel, Prov 11:14, Prov 15:22, 20:18 24:6. Run away from evil counsel, Prov 12:5. Do not die in silence, do not die before your time, Eccl 7:17 What are you doing as a man to build God's institution called marriage? *Remorse corner.* Give your wife the peace she deserves. *Call to Word action.* SoS 1: 15 (NIV) *How beautiful you are, my darling! Oh, how beautiful! Your eyes are doves.* *The Christian clarion duty.* When last did you commend or tell your wife how beautiful she is? *Prayer* Lord, help me to take care of my wife so that my prayers will not be hindered 1 Peter 3:7 *Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honour unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life; that your prayers be not hindered.* Good morning all and have a blessed day today. God bless you.
