STRENGTH DOES NOT MAKE WEALTH
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*STRENGTH DOES NOT MAKE WEALTH.*
Proverbs 23:4-5 ---►🔹 *Labour not to be rich: cease from thine own wisdom.*🔹
🔹 *Wilt thou set thine eyes upon that which is not? for riches certainly make themselves wings; they fly away as an eagle toward heaven.*🔹
*lnsight and Highlight.*
1 Tim 6:17 ---►🔹 *Charge them that are rich in this world, that they be not highminded, nor trust in uncertain riches, but in the living God, who giveth us richly all things to enjoy;*🔹
Strength, hard work will not make one wealthy. *".... for by strength shall no man prevail.*, 1 Sam 2:9.
Though labour, strength, hardwork are strong indicators of wealth, they do not produce riches on their own, Prov 23:4. Only with diligence will they bring true wealth, Prov 22:29
Joshua explains this in the fear of God, walking with God brings good success.
Strength when applied without diligence, wisdom will produce fruitlessness.
Ecclesiastes 10:10 ► *If the iron be blunt, and he do not whet the edge, then must he put to more strength: but wisdom is profitable to direct.*
The bible warns that the pursuit for wealth is vain but does not condemn wealth. It is the love of money that the Bible condemns, 1 Tim 6:10.
As strength fades (Is 40:30) so also riches fly away ( Prov 23:5).
Strength cannot secure riches, neither does shrewdness etc. However prudent planning and good management of fund does help to preserve wealth.
Prov 10:5 ► *He that gathereth in summer is a wise son: but he that sleepeth in harvest is a son that causeth shame.*
Hard earned riches can be lost to life's eventualities beyond any one's control (Job 1:14-17).
The inevitable can happen to riches.
It has nothing to do with strength, shrewdness, prudence etc.
*Call to Word action.*
It is only through God will wealth be permanent because riches come from Heaven, (ref Prov 23:5).
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Life is uncertain, only God is certain.
Therefore never lean on your wisdom or knowhow, ref Prov 23:4 says *".....cease from thine own wisdom.*
Lord, give me wealth. Help me as l strive to sustain it, by your grace in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
