When last did you, from your heart, thank God that you are still alive?
*Scripture Commentaries.*
To many people in this world, God is not a priority but a second, last, no thoughts, no consideration, or a no-no.
The Psalmist says those who do not have God in their thoughts are wicked.
Psalm 10:4 says, *The wicked, through the pride of his countenance, will not seek after God: God is not in all his thoughts.*
Job's three friends, though miserable and are not the best of friends anyone would wish when in trouble, did make some statements that represented God's truth.
One of them is Elihu.
Elihu, here, rebukes Job in an unfair way. While trying to prove that Job must have sinned for God to take away the lives of his children and the calamity that befell him, Job 1:13-19, Elihu maintains that as long as a person is living, the breath of God is the source of the person's existence.
Elihu's statement is thought-provoking to those who do not have God in their thoughts and also a wake-up call to those who take God for granted
We should not live life in a way that takes God out of it.
