*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*SAUL, A RECIPE FOR DISASTER.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
1 Sam 20:26-27--► *Saul said nothing that day because he thought, “Something has happened to David to make him ceremonially unclean—surely he is unclean.”*
*But on the day after the New Moon, the second day, David's place was still empty, and Saul asked his son Jonathan, “Why hasn’t the son of Jesse come to the meal either yesterday or today?”*
*Insight and Highlight.*
To go calmly or boldly to confront an enemy when you know the strength at his disposal may not be a brave after all.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
No matter how brave or valiant you may be in life there are times God may allow you to retreat not in act of cowardice but as a wise warrior.
God told Joseph and Mary to flee to Egypt in order to escape Herod's great slaughter of baby boys in Bethlehem, Matt 2:13-23
In our text of today, we see how king Saul invited David to meal but on the vital information of Jonathan about Saul's sinister plot, David avoided the dinner.
Many today are like Saul.
As far as David and Jonathan were, the presence of Saul anywhere, is a recipe for disaster. His presence brings along with him trouble.
That a person like Saul is a king does not make him any lesser than a non royal villain.
There are people who have died in the corridors of power, through the deliciousness of delicacies, Prov 23:1-3, 6-8.
Unlike David, many have disregarded life saving information only to die in the hands of their enemies. Prov 27:12 says *The prudent see danger and take cover; but the simple keep going and pay the penalty.*
Prov 1:22 warns saying *".......How long will scoffers delight in their scorn and fools hate knowledge?*
God uses the universe as a university to teach us vital things in life.
Many people are sleeping through these times of information technology.
Be attentive, walk in the Spirit.
Be circumspect.
Watch and pray!

Proverbs 22:3 ---► *A prudent man foreseeth the evil, and hideth himself: but the simple pass on, and are punished.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
