*Scripture Commentaries.*
Denial or rejection of faith in Christ has been a common place since bible days.
Jesus was renounced in His days.
John 1:11 says *He came unto his own, and his own received him not.*
He came into the very world He created, but the world did not recognize Him, John 1:10.
In John 6: 41-71, His disciples rejected Him.
Renouncing Jesus mostly occurs when we love our lives more that Jesus who gave it to us.
Some once-believers of Christ rejected Christ because of the dangers or life-threatening situations they faced. They are asked if they would deny Christ and live or declare their love for Christ and die.
It can be as bad as this. That people would use the name of Christ as a test to live or die.
Paul says in Philp 1:21 *For to me to live is Christ, and to die is gain.*
Rev 12:11 says about some people who conquered Satan by the blood of the Lamb and by the word of their testimony. These people did not love their lives so much as to shrink from death.
It is Satan's plan that many people die without Christ.
Jesus warns us saying once you are in the Kingdom of God, looking back is not profitable for the believer.
*No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.* Luke 9:62.
There are so many things we do today that are indicative of the evil of renunciation, if we fail to fight against them.
Many of us are so preoccupied with ourselves than the Kingdom.
Our survival is at the detriment of the collapse of the Kingdom and as long as we survive, it does not matter if the Kingdom collapses.
Jesus said in Matthew 10:39 *He that findeth his life shall lose it: and he that loseth his life for my sake shall find it.*
Jesus is saying here that, if we save ourselves or pursue our interests while the Kingdom is lost, we shall lose life but if we save the Kingdom so that it could live by the sacrifice we give it, we will have life richly in return.
In what way has life thrown itself to you as a priority over Christ?
Make amends today.
You have too much from God to afford in order to save the name of Christ.
Do not renounce Christ by failing to do what is needful to save His name.
*Remorse corner.*
Our life is in Christ. No one owns it but God. Therefore, many who claim they could not die for Christ should consider if they ever have any right to life, in the first place.
*Call to Word action.*
Only those who have Christ, have the power to live in Him.
John 1:12 *But to all who did receive Him, to those who believed in His name, He gave the right to become children of God.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Many do not want to die in Christ, but were they alive before?
John 3:16 *For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, in anyway, l have renounced You, bring me back to Yourself and do not let me resist You, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
