PROTECTION AGAINST ATTACKS

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*PROTECTION AGAINST ATTACKS.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 Sam 30:1-2 *And it came to pass, when David and his men were come to Ziklag on the third day, that the Amalekites had invaded the south, and Ziklag, and smitten Ziklag, and burned it with fire;*

*And had taken the women captives, that were therein: they slew not any, either great or small, but carried them away, and went on their way.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

An enemy attack, though unprovoked, could bring about unprecedented losses. Prayerfully protect yourself daily against their attacks.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

The bible tells us in Eph 5:16 that *".....the days are evil."*

David faced an unprovoked, unfortunate, and aggressive attack from the Amalekites who had raided the Negev and Ziklag. They had attacked Ziklag and burned it. Though no one was killed, much devastation by fire was left. David and other's families were taken away captive.

This story tells us the busyness of our enemies while we are busy in our businesses.

While we are restful, the enemy is restless.

While we remain unprovoked or willing not to provoke anyone, our enemy launches unjustified attacks on us.

The good news is that David prayed, and God helped him, 1 Sam 30:7-8. He pursued, overtook, and recovered all.

All David's losses were recoverable.

No lives were lost (1 Sam 30:2), or else they would have been irrecoverable!

People lose possessions to Satan. Some of these could be recoverables. Lives lost to Satan are irrecoverable because they are lost and wasted forever.

We must never take life for granted.

We must fervently pray daily against eventualities

Daily fortify yourself and your family against the attack of the enemy.

Remember, while we are thinking peace, they are thinking evil.

The psalmist prayed God not to draw

away his soul with the wicked.

Psalm 26:9 *Gather not my soul with sinners, nor my life with bloody men:*

We must always pray that God will not allow us to fall into the hands of the wicked.

The psalmist in Psalm 37:14 says *The wicked have drawn out the sword, and have bent their bow, to cast down the poor and needy, and to slay such as be of upright conversation.*

May you not be a number in victims of Satanic entrapment.

Pray daily!

*Remorse corner.*

Protect yourself. Do not be under enemy attack. Psalm 59:2 *Deliver me from workers of iniquity, and save me from men of bloodshed.*

*Call to Word action.*

Psalm 28:3 *Draw me not away with the wicked, and with the workers of iniquity, which speak peace to their neighbours, but mischief is in their hearts.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

The wicked have a net in which they drag their victims into, and they count their scores

You will not be one of them!

*Prayer.*

Lord, l will escape the snares of the fowler, in Jesus name (Ps 124:7).

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
