Ezekiel 28: 1-2 *The word of the Lord came again unto me, saying,*
*Son of man, say unto the prince of Tyrus, Thus saith the Lord God; Because thine heart is lifted up, and thou hast said, I am a God, I sit in the seat of God, in the midst of the seas; yet thou art a man, and not God, though thou set thine heart as the heart of God:*

Psalm 82:6-7 *I have said, Ye are gods; and all of you are children of the most High.*
*But ye shall die like men, and fall like one of the princes.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Ever since man knew the difference between good and evil, he began to slip downhill because he equalled himself with God.
It was not God's plan for man to have the knowledge of good and evil, Gen 2:17, because God wanted to guide man in knowledge, wisdom and show him the path of life.
The knowledge of good and evil will be inherent in man, he will not be taught because man was created as a perfect image of God, Gen 1:27.
The begining of pride stemmed from the time man erred to know evil from good.
Man became gods through oracles, soothsayers, witch doctor, diviners, astrologers. Man from that time began to live as if God does not exist or they can know and do all things without God. He burst in pride and destruction became the order of his days, Prov 16:18.
These form of idolatry not only carries
along with pride but also some other works of the flesh, 1 Sam 15:23 *For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry....."*
God spoke through the Psalmist saying that man has become gods though they are children of the Most High but because they have remained as gods they will die like mere men or they will die the way ordinary men die without hope, ref Psalm 82:6-7.
The prince of Tyrus was a proud king, Ezk 28, in his pride, he exalted himself as a deity.
For this reason God would bring him down, not honorably, but like mere and shameful people with no hope of eternal life. He will be brought *"...down to the pit..."*,, Ezk 28: 8.
When you wear the "crown" of a god, you consult the oracle through the dead, witches and wizards, God said *"Thou shall die the deaths of the uncircumcised by the hand of strangers:..."* Ezk 28:10.
Many today especially those caught up in some new and philosophical thinking believe that children of men are gods or at least they are becoming gods.
Such people deceive themselves and they and their victims will receive the same condemnation as the king of Tyrus.
Do not follow people who do not seek the Spirit of God.
Flee idolatry!
*Remorse corner.*
Those who seek idols are like the idols themselves, Ps 115:8.
Idols are not God!
*Call to Word action.*
Those who consult gods of herbalists must know these people are not God.
They say to those who will slay them *"...l am God? but they shall be a man, and no God, in the hand of him that slayeth thee"* Ezk 28:9.

Isaiah 44:10 *Who but a fool would make his own god— an idol that cannot help him one bit?*
*Prayer*
1 Cor 10:14 *Wherefore, my dearly beloved, flee from idolatry.*
Lord keep me away from every form of idolatry, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you
