PRAYER AND RIGHTEOUSNESS.

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*PRAYER AND RIGHTEOUSNESS.*

*Scripture Treasure.*

James 5:16 *.....The effectual fervent prayer of a righteous man availeth much.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Prov 15:29 *The Lord is far from the wicked: but he heareth the prayer of the righteous.*

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Prayer is communicating to God, but

not all prayers are answered by God.

Some prayers are just mere blabbing or communication of vain or much speaking, Matt 6: 7-8.

There is a very strong and powerful link between righteousness and prayer.

Position is not righteousness. No matter the time, energy, position of power, status, episcopal, or apostolic office, put into prayer, only prayers from the righteous are considered powerful and effective.

God’s eyes are on the righteous, and His eyes are against evil doers.

When evil people pray, Peter says the face of God is against them. Evil people may boast, they prayed, and they say God answered, but we know they are into witchcraft. God can not deny Himself. No answered prayers from God goes to any evil doer, Ps 66:18.

Peter says *For the eyes of the Lord are on the righteous and his ears are attentive to their prayer, but the face of the Lord is against those who do evil”* (Ps 34:15, 1 Peter 3:12)

God did not hear nor replied king Saul, 1 Sam 28:6.

When our lives make God happy, when we passionately desire to see His will, work out in our lives, we will pray and trust our prayers will be answered, 1 John 5:14-15.

Elijah was a man like passion like us.

He had weaknesses and shortcomings, but God heard him not because he had these but because he was righteous, Jam 5:17-18.

Daniel says those who know their God shall be strong and do exploits. Daniel is referring to the righteous. They will do powerful things, they will pray, and powerful thing will happen. Dan

11:32.

Everyone can say the same prayers, but only the prayer that comes from the righteous is considered by God as powerful and effective.

There are two things among many others that God does when we pray.

First, He considers motives, James 4:3.

Second, He sifts through so-called prayer warriors.

Prayer warriors play an important role in our lives, but not all prayer warriors and all who pray are righteously at war and in companions with God.

In Ezekiel 14:14, God says *Though these three men, Noah, Daniel, and Job, were in it, they should deliver but their own souls by their righteousness, saith the Lord God.*

Only the prayers of Noah, Daniel, and Job were considered righteous. Not only because they prayed, but they were also righteous.

In Jer 15:1 *Then said the Lord unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind could not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.*

Not all who pray before God are acceptable in His sight.

So, God does sift through prayers and those who pray.

Prayers are answered based on nothing but righteousness.

Strength is not an answer to prayer. Vitality is not, postion is not, fame is not, money is not.

Prayers that are powerful and effective come from righteous people:

Do you want your prayers answered?

Be righteous before God, Matt 6:33.

*Remorse corner.*

God will hear us, only when we are right with Him

*Call to Word action.*

Prayers that avail are prayers from the righteous

*The Christian clarion duty.*

What makes your prayer avail is a life of purity and holiness

*Prayer.*

Lord, hear me when l call, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
