Genesis 18:32 *And he said, Oh let not the Lord be angry, and I will speak yet but this once: Peradventure ten shall be found there. And he said, I will not destroy it for ten's sake.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Prayer is working hand in hand with God.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
God responded to Abraham's request over Sodom, saying *"......For the sake of ten, I will not destroy it"*, Gen 18:26-32.
For all we know, there were no ten people that could make God save Sodom and Gomorrah.
Lot, however, was rescued, which is traceable to Abraham's relationship and a heart for prayers to God, Gen 19:25.
To crown it all, Lot was considered righteous *"......in seeing and hearing, vexed his righteous soul from day to day with their unlawful deeds;)* 2 Peter 2:8.
Abraham's resolve to prayerfully request from God what could save Sodom was remarkable.
His encounter with God tells us a few things.
First, when we understand what to say in prayer, we will please God with our requests.
The mere thought that God answers prayers is enough to make Abraham put every effort into its accomplishment.
Second, God loves to dialogue. When we talk to God, He will talk to us.
Abraham talked to God, and God talked to Him, telling him what was required from him for God to save Sodom.
Third, we must listen to what He has to say in return.
When we listen to God's response in return to what we tell Him, His response will be good enough to accomplish desired results.
God's responses to Abraham were good enough for Abraham to make decisions.
If God had found ten men, Sodom would still be in existence today.
Fourth, Abraham's encounter with God also tells us that people can lead us to say prayers that God would hear when they are led by God.
God is willing to hear from us what He is willing to hear
Answered prayers are God's ways of encouraging and teaching us, He answers prayers.
Pray the Holy Spirit for prayers that will move God.

We can not hear from God or have anything to listen to from Him if we do not talk or we stop talking to Him.
*Call to Word action.*
A Spirit led prayer is an indication that we are children of God, and we can receive answers from God.
Rom 8:14 *For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
As much as there is power in individual's prayers and fasting, so also there is power, when the people of God gather as one, Acts 2, ref Eph 4:16.
*Prayer.*
Lord, teach me how to pray according to Your will, in Jesus name.
