PLANTED BUT NOT BURIED(1)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*PLANTED BUT NOT BURIED (1)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 12:24 *Verily, verily, I say unto you, Except a corn of wheat fall into the ground and die, it abideth alone: but if it die, it bringeth forth much fruit.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Jesus died and was buried but did not remain in the grave. Joseph was in the pit but did not remain in the pit nor buried in it.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

To be buried is to remain in the grave.

It is the final resting place for the mortal.

There are people who are living who are "dead and buried" yet are living.

If you are living but have nothing to show or make no impact in life, you may be living yet "dead and buried"

It means no hope. Life is hopeless.

We must see life's problem as God planting us but will not allow us to be buried in life's troubles.

The enemy thought they had buried Jesus for good, but they were actually planting Him, John 12:24.

Joseph became a prototype of Jesus here.

Though he was thrown into the pit, he was planted.

He was taken out of the pit (raised from his presumed proposed burial). He was raised to fulfill a divine will.

He was in a dark place, lonely, presumed will be dead after some time and eventually be buried.

Some of us find ourselves in this position.

We are forsaken and forgotten yet we are still alive.

We are left for dead, but the enemy does not know we are being planted for a miracle by God.

Sometimes, you think you are in a crisis, but you are really in the middle of a miracle, or a miracle is in the middle of you.

Anything thrown beneath the earth surface is either planted or buried.

When a seed is planted, there is a hope of survival by the fruit it brings up.

So while the seed planted itself must die, it is survived by the fruit it brings. Therefore, that seed actually is survived by its reproduction, John 12:24

However, a person when buried is with the intention that he is gone without any hope of coming alive anytime again (except at the consumation and advent of Christ.)

The intention of Joseph's brother when they threw him into the pit was to leave him there for dead. When he dies, he will be covered up! In their own way, he was "buried."

Their conclusion was given credence by the lies they gave Jacob, their father. Their actions revealed their murderous hearts.

Genesis 37:31 *Then they took Joseph's robe, slaughtered a young goat, and dipped the robe in its blood.* See also Gen 37:20

They were in effect saying Joseph was dead and never again to be expected alive by Jacob.

Unknown to them, he was planted, not dead as they had lied. He will live again.

Jesus brought hope. Anyone who is living as if he/she were dead can be sure that he/she has only been planted to achieve a destiny. He/she is not buried.

Learn from challenges and push yourself to be better.

Grow your mind. Every setback has a comeback.

*Remorse corner.*

Only in Christ Jesus can we see life's trouble as a way of being planted to achieve God's future purpose. When we find ourselves in the midst of life's trouble, let us see this as a means towards achieving a life's purposeful end or dreams.

*Call to Word.*

Gen 50:20 *But as for you, ye thought evil against me; but God meant it unto good, to bring to pass, as it is this day, to save much people alive.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

You are planted in that situation for a reason. In life's trouble, stay with God, miracles happen.

*Prayer.*

Lord, there is an expected end. Meet me at the point of Your life's expected will for my life, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
