*Insight and Highlight.*

Our assurances and confidence that our plans will work can fail, but turning to God in prayer gives direction and fulfillment.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

It is important that we commit our ways to God.

There are two things about making plans.

First, there are plans that we can not, but make.. For example, a major or landmark birthday, wedding, burial, etc.

Second, we want to make plans, but we need the direction for the next step to take in life. For example, David asked God for direction on the Amalekites when they raided Ziklag (1 Sam 30) before he could make his plans.

In the first category, we know what to do. In the second category, we do not know what to do.

Common to both categories is that we must commit to God what steps and plans to make.

This is because in the first category, just because we know what we want to do does not guarantee its success if God is not in it.

In the second category, not knowing what to plan to do is not a guarantee of failure as long as we commit all things to God

It is important that we bring our plans to God, whether or not we know what to plan for.

We need His divine direction.

People whom God gives direction still face challenges (Exd 5: 23), how much more suffering will people who are without His direction? (Gen 13:11).

When God directs our path, there are things unplanned for that become our course of action.

Not everything planned by us is wanted for us by God.

When God plans for us, there are things that are unplanned by us but will come our way and must not be unwanted for our lives.

Great economy planners fail (ref 2 Kings 7:1). No matter how compelling and accomplished we are, it is easy to slip into life's unpredictability, traps, and snares.

Our best plan is only best if it is channeled through God.

Spend time in prayer and commit your plans to God for direction.

To everyman, his thoughts and plans are always the best, but before God, it is the worst.

Your due diligence, searches, and findings may appear right for a go ahead, but without God, the most authentic searches of man can still fail, Prov 14:12.

Solomon is not saying we should not plan. In fact, we can not stop making plans. What he is saying is that nothing works on its own, except God makes it to work.

Remember, what you have received from God may be unplanned, but it is never unwanted.

To plan without God is to plan to fail.

Partner with God on every plan you make or about to make!

Only the Way knows the way.

*Call to Word action.*

John 14:6 says, *"Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: .....'*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

It is better to receive what we do not plan for from God than what we plan for ourselves. His thoughts towards us are forever good and not of evil. God's plan is different from ours, and they will always be better than ours, Jer 29:11..

*Prayer.*

Lord, show me the way. Lead me, and l will follow, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
