ONE HOUR WITH JESUS

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *ONE HOUR WITH JESUS.* *Scripture Treasure.* Matt 26:40-41 *And he cometh unto the disciples, and findeth them asleep, and saith unto Peter, What, could ye not watch with me one hour?* *Watch and pray, that ye enter not into temptation: the spirit indeed is willing, but the flesh is weak.* *Insight and Highlight.* The more time you spend with Jesus, the less is available for Satan to occupy. *Scripture Commentaries.* Three times Jesus came to His disciples to watch with Him, one hour and each time they were found asleep. The enemies did not show up until Jesus came to the disciples saying *"...he is at hand that doth betray me.*🔹 Though Jesus had resolutely said He has come to die so as to save us from our sins, Mark 10:45, but we can learn from the timing of Jesus' prayer in Gestamane. It is the first time in the scriptures that Jesus will put a time to prayer. Many of us may not agree as to why prayers or our personal communion should go one hour. The answer is found in when your soul is *"....exceeding sorrowful..."* (ref Matt 26:38). When you are desperate for a miracle, you will pray not even noticing time had gone one hour or more. *Remorse corner.* Can you at least pray one hour? You can! Ask God for the grace to do it! *Call to Word action.* Matt 26:38  *Then saith he unto them, My soul is exceeding sorrowful, even unto death: tarry ye here, and watch with me.* *The Christian clarion duty.* If you can merry, party, chat, gist for one hour, why should you not pray for one hour? *Prayer.* Lord help me to watch with you one hour everyday, in Jesus name.
