*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*ON THE WHEEL OF MERCY...(2)*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Eph 2:8 *For it is by grace you have been saved through faith, and this not from yourselves; it is the gift of God,*
*Insight and Highlight.*
It is God who decides to show mercy. We can neither choose it nor work for it.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
The Apostle Paul expresses the fundamental principle behind every human success. Though someone can be ambitious, hardworking, he must not see his ultimate success on these.
He must see God as having favored and destined him for success, Deut 8:18.
There are hardworking and brilliant people who are not as successful as the rich and affluent.
So all that happen to us do not depend on human will or exertion, but on God, who shows mercy.
The choice we make will determine who we will be, ref Deut 30:19, but the mercy of God guides and leads, ref Rom 9:16.
God's favor and mercy overule life's chances, odds, luck and fate.
Even Solomon later in Eccl 5:18-19 added saying, not chance and luck, not even industry and labour, he says *"..it is gift of God*".
Paul says *"....God giveth the increase;"* ref 1 Cor 3:6.
By God's word, He gave the higher order saying though time and chance play roles in humans success, God factor must be ultimate in the heart of every believer, ref Rom 9:16.
The greater than Solomon is here and He is Jesus, Matt 12:42.
A man's endeavor cannot be a success without God's will to make him successful, Deut 8:18.
Neither should the favor of God be substituted with luck, odds, chance or fate.
Attribute your good success, not to your wisdom, smartness, odds, luck or fate but to Christ.
As a child of God, choose the best option in life, because He chose you first. Attribute all success to Jesus.
Remember always, it is by God's mercy, not by chance, fate, or luck.
*Remorse corner.*
God makes success happen, He gives the power to make wealth, Deut 8:18, He gives good success, Joshua 1:8.
*Call to Word action.*
Proverbs 10:22 ---► *The blessing of the LORD, it maketh rich, and he addeth no sorrow with it.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Labor adds nothing, Prov 23:4.
Psalm 127:1-2 *"Unless the LORD builds the house, the builders labor in vain.....In vain you rise early and stay up late, toiling for food to eat— for he grants sleep to those he loves.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, I choose to be in Your favor, grace and mercy. Remember me always, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
