If you have fasted, prayed, and given, but it seems not to be working, check your life and see where you have disobeyed.
*Insight and Highlight.*
Deliverance is the act of being saved from the dominion of Satan.
Deliverance is usually recommended, but it must be done with understanding for it to work.
The mistake that is often committed is that we often start with fasting and prayer, neglecting the word of God concerning the situation at hand.
Fasting and prayer are powerful means through which deliverance takes place, Matt 17:21.
Prayer is mostly recommended in order to obtain deliverance.
Every Christian is exhorted to pray without ceasing, 1 Thess 5:17.
Giving is also a source of receiving deliverance. Solomon received answers to his prayers by giving. He was given wisdom, a total deliverance from his lack of understanding, 1 Kgs 3: 9.
The importance of obedience as a root by which deliverance would thrive is clear from the scriptures.
If you have fasted, prayed, and given, but it seems not to be working, check your life again to see if there is a simple obedience required of you that you might have missed out.
Naaman received his deliverance by simple obedience, 2 Kgs 5.
By a simple act of obedience, no prayer, fasting, no giving, he obtained deliverance.
This teaches us one very important principle:
This is that, though prayer, fasting, giving, and diligent service are paths to total deliverance, obedience could save us a long time of any of these.
In other words, many of us ignore obedience but choose to sacrifice time in fasting and prayer.
We sacrifice so much time in fasting when simple obedience could have saved us the waiting time.
Remember, obedience to God forms the basic foundation of our relationship with God.
It is important that you first know what is expected of you by God, and when you do this, it is called obedience.
Remember Eccl 12:13 *Let us hear the conclusion of the whole matter: Fear God, and keep his commandments: for this is the whole duty of man.*
*Remorse corner.*
Obey first before any other thing.
It is the foundation upon which every blessing flows! (Deut 28:1-14)
*Call to Word action.*
Fasting, prayer, and giving, as good and important as they are, can never take the place of obedience.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
When we disobey, fasting, prayer, giving all become sacrifices rather than source through which blessing can be received.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to do the needful in total obedience to You, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
