Titus 3:14: *And let our's also learn to maintain good works for necessary uses, that they be not unfruitful.*

We are not only admonished to do good works, but to also maintain it.

Despite, bible admonition for good works, it is beyond sad to see we are still surrounded by heretics, folly from people who ask foolish questions and contentions from people who strive.
Paul admonishes us that we avoid their pollutions because they are unprofitable and vain.
Paul's letter to Titus warns that the only way those who believe in Christ will not be trapped is by being careful so that they can escape from these villains.
Titus 1:8-11 *"that they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works. These things are good and profitable unto men."*
Titus admonishes two things.
First, in Titus 2:7, he says, we live by good examples and what we teach and what we do.
Believers must set *"a pattern of good works" Titus 2:7. *"....Sound speech, that cannot be condemned*;...... *Exhort servants to be obedient unto their own masters, and to please them well in all things; not answering again;* Titus 1:7-9.
Second, that we live by the experience we have also suffered. When we remember we were once sinners and how God's mercy saved us, we will deal with people with a lot of care.
He says in our dealings with people, Titus says we *".....speak evil of no man, to be no brawlers, but gentle, shewing all meekness unto all men."* Titus 1:2.
This is because we were like them but now saved. He says in Titus 1:3, 5b *For we ourselves also were sometimes foolish, disobedient, deceived, serving divers lusts and pleasures, living in malice and envy, hateful, and hating one another.*
Which *"....according to his mercy he saved us,...."*
So, by this Paul emphasizes that "good works" is the result of the believer’s conversion and life in the Holy Spirit, Titus 3:4-8.

Lord, help me not only to do good works but also to maintain it, in Jesus name.
