Exd 7: 8-12 *And the Lord spake unto Moses and unto Aaron, saying,*

*When Pharaoh shall speak unto you, saying, Shew a miracle for you: then thou shalt say unto Aaron, Take thy rod, and cast it before Pharaoh, and it shall become a serpent.*

*And Moses and Aaron went in unto Pharaoh, and they did so as the Lord had commanded: and Aaron cast down his rod before Pharaoh, and before his servants, and it became a serpent.*

*Then Pharaoh also called the wise men and the sorcerers: now the magicians of Egypt, they also did in like manner with their enchantments.*

*For they cast down every man his rod, and they became serpents: but Aaron's rod swallowed up their rods.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

There are testimonies that are not evidence of God's presence.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

Not all signs and wonders have their foundation in Christ, and not all testimonies are founded on signs and wonders from God.

Only God deserves testimonies, Rev 12:11, but people testify on lying signs and wonders.

Besides Rev 12:11, Jesus had earlier told us that people would testify of Him, John 5:39-40.

Not all who testify in the name of Jesus testify truly. Some disguise with false signs and wonders but appropriate this to His work.

Testimonies of Jesus's miracles are not built on lying signs and wonders. They are not expected to be on lying signs and wonders and should not be.

There are people who follow movements and fraternity that believe in a supreme deity who does not intervene or interfere in the affairs of men.

There are people who follow movements and fraternity that believe in a supreme deity: the Supreme God. They believe He created the world but has left it in the hands of some terrestrial deities.

Either of these or both of these movements have led people astray and still are.

These movements are many today as in time past. People's minds are placed under a spell or charm to produce a mind-altering feeling and power to produce some mystical experiences between a person, the world, and a deity.

These movements are people's imagination proffered to solve human problems without God, and they command huge followership.

They create reality-like imaginations in their victims.

When people are ruled by imagination, they can project things. Besides projecting things, a most destructive and dangerous effect of these movements is the danger

inherent in their imagination that can project things to life.

Talisman, secret art, and tricks are unusual powers that can produce extraordinary miracles, but they are lying wonders. The witch of Endor said , *"....I saw gods ascending out of the earth....."*, 1 Sam 28:13.

With mind-altering effects, they turn people's hearts. They enslave and exploit the minds of their victims to believe this is the best and faster way to get to God.

This mind-altering effect was on King Saul, who felt there should be someone who could bring Samuel up besides God.

This was the effect on Pharaoh who felt that what God could do, his magician could do also.

This is why people testify after what magics and sorceries do and who they are.

Remember, no signs and wonders from God could unconditionally guarantee God's continued presence of favor and power if you continue to sin, John 8:11.

We must be careful so as not to wrongfully believe that the presence or proof of signs and wonders does itself assure one of the reality of God's presence to which it points when deception is involved. The devil can perform with lying signs and wonders.

God remains with His people only as long as they maintain a relationship with Him.

What we receive from God is a function of our relationship with Him.

Becareful of lying signs and wonders. They enslave and ensnare. You are better off without them and good enough to live without them.

False signs and wonders that appear real are false testimonies that appear real, 2 Cor 11:14-15.

2 Corinthians 10:5: *Casting down imaginations, and every high thing that exalteth itself against the knowledge of God, and bringing into captivity every thought to the obedience of Christ;*

Do not be deceived!

Philippians 4:7: *And the peace of God, which surpasses all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus.*, in Jesus name.
