*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*LIFE AND LIFE MORE ABUNDANTLY (2).*

Colossians 2:10 *And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power:*
*Insight and Highlight.*
We are complete in this life only when we have not just life but have it more abundantly.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
John 1:16-17 tells us that at the coming of Jesus, we received grace for grace.
Moses' law was given, and the people who lived under it were guided but with strict judgment. Life under the law was tense, but Jesus gave grace out of His fullness.
John writes, *And of his fulness have all we received, and grace for grace.*
*For the law was given by Moses, but grace and truth came by Jesus Christ.*
Hebrews 10:28 states that anyone who rejected the law of Moses died without mercy.
2 Cor 3:6 says Christ *".....hath made us able ministers of the new testament; not of the letter, but of the spirit: for the letter killeth, but the spirit giveth life.*
While the people under Moses' law were considered as living under the letter that killed, Jesus came with the benefit of living life more abundantly by giving us His Spirit.
It is not good to live life without a full life or fullness of life.
One of Solomon's good example of a life that may not be lived more abundantly is a life of a poor man who by his wisdom delivered a city besieged by a great king yet no man remembered the same poor man.
He wrote, *Wisdom is better than strength: nevertheless the poor man's wisdom is despised, and his words are not heard.*, Eccl 5:15-16.
In this world, what happens when we are not complete in life is often sad and unfair.
While the wisdom of this man should be valued above strength, his wisdom was disregarded because he was poor.
The covenant saved Jacob from a life without fullness and abundance Christ came to give.
He had lived one hundred and thirty years. He said to Pharaoh *".....few and evil have the days of the years of my life been and have not attained unto the days of the years of the life of my fathers in the days of their pilgrimage."* Gen 47:9.
This is because torment or evil can shorten life. Jacob saw his life shorter than his father Isaac (180 years, Gen 35:28) and his grandfather Abraham (175 years, Gen 25:7).
This also teaches us that hardship can slow down the passage of time.
Time for a person under oppression or captivity can be slow, but for a person in enjoyment, it is fast.
Solomon teaches us here that how the life of a person is determined may not be how wise or clever but by how much affluence or influential he is.
The poor man had abundant wisdom, but his life was not determined by the wisdom because he lacked wealth.
Also, as Jesus says that *".....a man's life consisteth not in the abundance of the things which he possesseth."*, Lk 12:15.
If a man possesses a thing or many things but lacks what could make his life full in Christ, he possesses nothing and lacks all things.
A man's life should consist of the abundant life Jesus gives, not the abundance of what he possesses.
Wealth without the abundant life of Christ is vanity, ref Prov 13:11.
A wealthy person with the abundant life of Christ can be assured no sorrow will be added to his wealth, ref Prov 10:22.
Having life more abundantly is larger than life.
Now that you have life, ask God for life more abundantly.
*Remorse corner.*
Whosoever has Christ has all things.
*Call to Word action.*
Revelation 21:7 says, *He that overcometh shall inherit all things; and I will be his God, and he shall be my son.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
No matter the abundance of what you have, your life can only find meaning when you have life more abundantly in Christ.
*Prayer.*
Lord, I thank you for giving me life.
Please give me life more abundantly in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and be blessed as you come into His presence.
God bless you.
