LET HIM THAT THINKETH
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *LET HIM THAT THINKETH...."* *Scripture Treasure.* 1 Cor 10:12--►🔹 *Wherefore let him that thinketh he standeth take heed lest he fall.*🔹 *Insight and Highlight.* Anytime we see ourselves beginning to dislike those who warn us against sin, then we create a very small distance between ourselves and Satan's pit. *Scripture Commentaries.* Satan uses people to accomplish his purposes and his target is mostly at people who are standing. His most vulnerable victim or prone target is *"...him that thinketh he standeth...."* Paul says let him who thinks he stands becareful so that he does not fall, 1 Cor 10:12. On this particular admonition, the Apostle Paul is not focusing on those who stand or are standing, he is not focusing on those who are not standing. He is focusing on those who *think* they are standing. That is; those who perceive they have too much knowledge to be under authority. Those who perceive they know too much for Satan to deceive them. They often undermine Satan's power. They are mostly overconfident: a state of egotistical belief that one is better than one actually is. "The know all" attitude, etc.. Paul says they are most prone to underrating the influence of satan. They are in personal danger of falling away, through pride. Prov 16:18--►🔹 *Pride goeth before destruction, and an haughty spirit before a fall.*🔹 Yield not yourself to be used by Satan (Rom 6:16), shun pride, lean not on your own understanding (Prov 3:5) and be teachable. When the devil waits for that unguarded moment to swift you as wheat, it is because he has seen a weakness in you through which he can capitalize. He saw Peter was shifting focus and almost at the brink of losing his conversion, his faith was failing, he was at a point of departure from Christ. This is why after Jesus said He had prayed for him, He further said in Luke 22:32 ---►🔹 *".....that thy faith fail not: and when thou art converted, strengthen thy brethren.*🔹 Satan cannot save, cannot offer salvation but he can destroy the careless and nonchalant. He may be foolish in many of his ways but he is not a fool at devising careful and deadly plots. Be not ignorant, wake up, watch and pray! Just as Paul spoke to the Romans, so as to the Corinthians, he also means to say *Be not highminded, but fear* (Romans 11:20). Remember, always; the devil is only after people with glory. *Remorse corner.* So, you are now saved but you still have to work to deliver yourself as a roe. Proverbs 6:5 ---►🔹 *Deliver thyself as a roe from the hand of the hunter, and as a bird from the hand of the fowler.*🔹 Work out your salvation with fear and trembling, (Philp 2:12). The enemy is on the prowl, becareful. *Call to Word action.* 1 Cor 8:2--►🔹 *And if any man think that he knoweth any thing, he knoweth nothing yet as he ought to know.*🔹 *The Chistian clarion duty.* Christian seek not yet repose! Satan's plan is to make those who think they stand lose focus and be ignorant of his devices, to make those who stand to fall and to make those who have fallen, to fall further into abyss. *Prayer* Lord, help me that l do not think myself too high minded to ignore Satan's plot against my life, in Jesus name. Good morning all and be blessed as you go today. God bless you.
