*WISDOM FOR TODAY*
*JESUS WILL COME AGAIN.*

2 Pet 3: 3-
*Knowing this first, that there shall come in the last days scoffers, walking after their own lusts,*
*And saying, Where is the promise of his coming? for since the fathers fell asleep, all things continue as they were from the beginning of the creation.*
*For this they willingly are ignorant of, that by the word of God the heavens were of old, and the earth standing out of the water and in the water*

Ignorance is one of man's greatest enemy.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Just as Amos 4:6 tells us that God's people perish because of lack of knowledge. Peter says they are ignorant because they are saying Christ has not come ever since generations have been saying He would come.
Peter warns us saying in 2 Pet 3:8-10,12-14 saying *.....be not ignorant of this one thing, that one day is with the Lord as a thousand years, and a thousand years as one day.*
*The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slacknes....*
*But the day of the Lord will come as a thief in the nigh....*
*Looking for and hasting unto the coming of the day of God,.....*
*Nevertheless we, according to his promise, look for new heavens and a new earth, wherein dwelleth righteousness.*
*Wherefore, beloved, seeing that ye look for such things, be diligent that ye may be found of him in peace, without spot, and blameless.*
The admonition of the Apostle will ever be most current because the saying that Jesus whom they said would be coming has not come and will never come has the sayings of people of all ages and time.
The Apostle, therefore, admonished strongly that brethren must grow in grace in order to avoid being led astray by this very bad but strong influence
He further says in 2 Pet 3: 17 -18
*Ye therefore, beloved, seeing ye know these things before, beware lest ye also, being led away with the error of the wicked, fall from your own stedfastness.*
*But grow in grace, and in the knowledge of our Lord and Saviour Jesus Christ. To him be glory both now and for ever. Amen.*
Grow enough to avoid erroneous teachings.
Jesus will come again.

It is not only that Jesus is coming soon but also that Jesus will come again.

*The Christian clarion duty.*
Paul admonishes and encourages us to say that we know the untimely time and we understand the unseasonal season of His coming, ref 1 Chr 12:32.
Rom 13:11 *And that, knowing the time, that now it is high time to awake out of sleep: for now is our salvation nearer than when we believed.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, help my hope in you go beyond the hope l have for you in this life, in this life, in Jesus name.(ref 1 Cor 15:19).
