*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*JESUS (3).*

*Scripture Treasure.*

John 1:1-10

*In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.*

*The same was in the beginning with God.*

*All things were made by him; and without him was not any thing made that was made.*

*In him was life; and the life was the light of men.*

*And the light shineth in darkness; and the darkness comprehended it not.*

*There was a man sent from God, whose name was John.*

*The same came for a witness, to bear witness of the Light, that all men through him might believe.*

*He was not that Light, but was sent to bear witness of that Light.*

*That was the true Light, which lighteth every man that cometh into the world.*

*He was in the world, and the world was made by him, and the world knew him not.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Jesus is God.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

John tells us that Jesus Christ is divine and co-eternal with God

John writes telling us that Jesus was at the very beginning as God was and was in existence even before creation, existing with God.

John wrote in the same breath as in Genesis:1:1 *In the beginning God created the heaven and the earth.*

God became man and through Jesus, God entered into human nature, life and history.

John 1:14 says *And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.*

John tells us that Jesus is God's self-revelation and God's revealer.

He tells us that no man has ever seen God but through Jesus we are able to see God and how God is.

He writes in John 1:18 *No man hath seen God at any time, the only begotten Son, which is in the bosom of the Father, he hath declared him.*

John remains the only gospel that did not bring in the genealogy of Jesus as Matthew, Mark and Luke did.

He establishes God and Jesus as deity and establishes the eternal nature of Jesus with God.

Paul writes that 2 Cor 5:19 *to wit, that God was in Christ, reconciling the world unto Himself, not imputing their trespasses unto them, and hath committed unto us the Word of reconciliation.*

Jesus expressed His divine pre-existence and eternal nature when He told the Jews in John 8:58 *Before Abraham was, I am.*

This expression of Jesus revealed God in Him as the *"I AM....."* (Exodus 3:14).

Jesus is distinct as God is, yet is in perfect fellowship with God (the Father) within the Godhead (Trinity) and one with God.

Jesus said in John 10:30, *My Father and l are one.*

Those who claim to know God without accepting Jesus as His Son and their personal Saviour do not know God.

John says in 1 John 2:23 *Whosoever denieth the Son, the same hath not the Father: he that acknowledgeth the Son hath the Father also.*

God said Jesus is the only way to Him.

Jesus said in John 14:6, *I am the way, and the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.*

John 5:39 tells us that, not only is Jesus the revealer of God, God bore witness of Jesus. *And the Father himself, which hath sent me, hath borne witness of me. Ye have neither heard his voice at any time, nor seen his shape.*

God revealed Jesus to us as His only begotten Son. He came to pacify God's anger over sin and would take away our sins, Matt 1:21, John 3:16 and 1 John 2:2.

The Trinity: God the Father, the Son and the Holy Spirit are one. Each with the other is God and none is God without the other. They are the three thst bear witness in Heaven, 1 John 5:7.

Do you know Jesus?

If you do not know Him, accept Him today!

*Remorse corner.*

Jesus is God and God is Jesus.

*Call to Word action.*

Jesus is fully divine with God and was fully human.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

You can not know God without knowing Jesus.

*Prayer.*

Lord let me surrender to You in words and in deed in Jesus name.

Good morning all and be blessed as you come into His presence today.

God bless you.

Shalom.
