*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*JESUS (14).*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Luke 1: 30-31, 34-35.
*And the angel said unto her, Fear not, Mary: for thou hast found favour with God.*
*And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name Jesus.*
*Then said Mary unto the angel, How shall this be, seeing I know not a man?*
*And the angel answered and said unto her, The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: therefore also that holy thing which shall be born of thee shall be called the Son of God.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Jesus was fully man, yet sinless.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Mary was Jesus' biological mother. She provided the egg for His conception though immaculate and sinless.
Jesus acquired flesh through Mary to become man in the flesh.
His sinlessness came because God was His Father.
Luke 1:35 says *"......The Holy Ghost shall come upon thee, and the power of the Highest shall overshadow thee: ......"*
Mary was virgin Mary both before and after Jesus was born because she had never been with a man. Her marriage to Joseph was not consummated to allow for sexual intimacy. God kept her holy, before and during the pregnancy of Jesus.
Matt 1:25 says Joseph *"...... knew her not till she had brought forth her firstborn son: and he called his name JESUS.*
Any sexual intimacy between a man and a woman will result in the child referred to as 'conceived and born in sin'.
David says in Psalm 51: 5 *Behold, I was shapen in iniquity; and in sin did my mother conceive me.*
Any child born out of intimacy always come as a will of the parents but Jesus' birth was not so, it was God's decision to bring Him forth.
John 1:13 says *Which were born, not of blood, nor of the will of the flesh, nor of the will of man, but of God.
Gal 4:4 *But when the fulness of the time was come, God sent forth his Son, made of a woman, made under the law,*
Mary, herself, was conceived in sin and needed salvation herself.
She said in Luke 1:46-47 *And Mary said, My soul doth magnify the Lord,*
*And my spirit hath rejoiced in God my Saviour.*
This is why Mary, mother of Jesus, should not and is worthy of any worship.
So, how did Jesus born of a woman (Mary) not acquire the blood of Mary but only acquired flesh through Mary?
Mary's blood did not mix with Jesus' in Mary's womb.
This was the beginning of what has shaped today's women's gestation from the moment of baby is conceived to the baby's delivery.
Today and till eternity, no blood of the mother mixes with the baby in the womb!
It is a mystery but it all started with God to ensure that Jesus came into this world, not contaminated by the blood of Mary, but acquired flesh through Mary.
So Mary and Jesus' blood did not mix in Mary's womb. Mixing would have polluted the purity, sinlessness of the Holy blood in Jesus.
This was why His blood was pure and sinless, powerful enough to take away our sins. This is why the bible refers to His blood as 'the perfect blood', ' 'a perfect sacrifice'.
This ensured that the blood of Jesus became a perfect sacrifice for our sin.
This was further justified by Paul when he wrote 2 Cor 5:21 *For he hath made him to be sin for us, who knew no sin; that we might be made the righteousness of God in him.*
*Remorse corner.*
Hebrews 9:14: *How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?*
*Call to Word action.*
Hebrews 9:14: *How much more shall the blood of Christ, who through the eternal Spirit offered himself without spot to God, purge your conscience from dead works to serve the living God?*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Hebrews 10:14: *For by one offering he hath perfected for ever them that are sanctified.*
*Prayer.*
Lord, l thank you for the blood of Jesus, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
Shalom.
