*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*JESUS.*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Gal 1:8-9
*But though we, or an angel from heaven, preach any other gospel unto you than that which we have preached unto you, let him be accursed.*
*As we said before, so say I now again, if any man preach any other gospel unto you than that ye have received, let him be accursed.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Jesus, the greatest Man who ever lived.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
There are many 'gospels' but none has stood or will stand the test of time. They will fade away but the word of God can never fade away.
Isaiah 40:8 says *The grass withereth, the flower fadeth: but the word of our God shall stand for ever.*
Children of men have developed many faith movements (gospels) and they equally made enormous or large followers.
Each movement has core beliefs of who and what they believe in.
Some movements do not believe in Jesus as the Son of God. Some have core beliefs stating they believe in the Trinity yet shift more or solely on prosperity, grace preaching, motivational speeches. Some do not believe in eternal life, some allow for a mix of tradition and herbalism worship. Some believe solely on baptism, some believe in forgiveness after death, some have their own bibles (different from the divinely inspired Bible), some do not believe in the gifts of the Spirit (especially the gifts of tongues, some are different in code of dressing, the distortions of the Old and New by observing Levitical order of sacrifices instead of total reliance on the one time sacrifice of the blood of Christ.
Some who have core beliefs in the Trinity have no core values added to Christ.
The worst of these movements is the outward appearance as a Church of God yet different in the doctrines of Christ and the early Church.
Paul writes in 2 Timothy 3:5-7, they *"Having a form of godliness, but denying the power thereof: from such turn away.*
Many of these founders are dead. Even those who started seemingly similar Christian movement in the name of Church of Christ.
In every movement or mission we intend to go to or join, we must pray for God's direction.
Imagine the movement or several movements where people have made names as founders yet only one makes the spiritual headline of all-time.
His name is Jesus!
Without doubt Jesus, though many of these so-called founders saw themselves or still see themselves as equal with Jesus, but the life of Jesus has shown us that He was not equal with them, in His death He was more than them and He remains the only One who died and rose to live forever,
Heb 13:8 *Jesus Christ the same yesterday, and to day, and for ever.*
There are many gospels in the world.
Which do you believe?
There are many Christian faith movements and founders. Make sure you follow the one that has Christ as its foundation and follow the leader as you follow Christ
Paul says in 1 Corinthians 11:1 *Be ye followers of me, even as I also am of Christ.*
Following a spiritual leader is not idolatry. It is following a leader who models Christ-like lives guiding others by living exemplary lives.
*Remorse corner.*
Jesus remains relevant forever. Earthly faith or religion founders died and were buried never to be seen again
*Call to Word action.*
Some people today or in times past may have been saved from these foundations but the memories of what their founders started will not go away until Jesus comes to remove them forever
*The Christian clarion duty.*
People die and are soon totally forgotten.
People may celebrate their memories but they will never come back again but Jesus died and rose from the grave. He became more than a memory. He lives forever and is coming again. A living Saviour forever!
*Prayer.*
Lord, let me not know or worship any god. Please give me the grace to follow You only, to the end in Jesus name.
Be blessed as you go today.
God bless you.
Shalom.
