IT'S MY LIFE? (4)

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*IT'S MY LIFE? (4)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

1 Sam 3:22-25

*Now Eli was very old, and heard all that his sons did unto all Israel; and how they lay with the women that assembled at the door of the tabernacle of the congregation.*

*And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings by all this people.*

*Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make the Lord's people to transgress.*

*If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him?* *Notwithstanding they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because the Lord would slay them.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Though you may say it is your life and you can live it the way you want but remember that the life you live affects others, either in a good or bad way.

*Scripture Commentaries.*

People who resolve to live their lives the way they want it always rudely add that you stay off and mind your business.

Such people like these need prayers.

We should not leave them but commit them to prayers.

They are people that the Bible refers to as "stiffnecked"

Some people often resolve to leave their children to learn from their mistakes.

Please do what is needful and let God help you. This is because their mistakes will rub off you and the family name.

We can learn from Eli.

Though he warned his children, he did nothing to stop them from his part.

What could Eli have done?

Eli could have removed them from the priesthood, but he kept them there, and they persisted in their evil, 1 Sam 2:12-17.

We can also learn from day to day experience that erring children may eventually blame their bad mistakes on their bad parenting.

Though a child or anyone may insist it is their lives, we could do all we can to help them to salvage their miserableness.

Let us do our best, and God will help us

If they do not change from their own ways, God may blame us for their errors.

The effect of a bad child (especially a male child) on the family and future generations is well explained in Prov 15:20. It says, *"A wise son brings joy to his father, but a foolish man despises his mother.*

This passage is not only talking about the father as a parent but also the family name.

This is because the son carries the family name unto his generation.

*Remorse corner.*

Think of other people when you live your life anyhow. Listen to other people's advice. There are people who see what you do not see.

*Call to Word action.*

Proverbs 29:1 *He, that being often reproved hardeneth his neck, shall suddenly be destroyed, and that without remedy.*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

If you live your life telling people, "It's my life...don't you forget". You will at least remember they warned you when things go hopelessly wrong with you.

Minister to a soul today!

*Prayer.*

Lord, lead me to an erring soul today. Help me to minister life to him/her and let them change from the lives of their own to the life of Christ, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day today.

God bless you.
