*Scripture Commentaries.*
If you know God, you will be confident, as John said in 1 John 5:14.
John qualifies this belief, saying, *"And this is the confidence we have.....*
We are confident and assured that if we could pray, God is there to hear us.
Rom 10:12 says that believing in God is that God will answer us by not putting us to shame.
He says, *"......Whosoever believeth on him shall not be ashamed."*
The psalmist says in Psalm 65:2, giving direction to everyone who is willing to pray, that there is a God who answers prayers. *O thou that hearest prayer, unto thee shall all flesh come.*
Though God was not mentioned in the book of Esther but He was implied.
Esther asked what she prayed for as she fasted three days after which she went to the king, Esther 4:16.
When you know God, you will dare the consequences of trusting God in the midst of great dangers, Dan 3: 16-28
Dan 11:32.
Though we knew Jesus could not fail raising Lazarus but there are men of faith who prayed, not knowing that what they asked for would be honored by God. Yet they prayed.
If God does not honor, they know people may impute shame on them, yet they prayed, and God did not disappoint them.
These men of faith dare the presence of shame for the glory to be revealed ref Rom 8:18.
