It is good to know that God hears our prayers.
Jesus thanked God for hearing Him before He could place His petition to raise Lazarus.
He must have been telling God that l have thanked you for what l have not received so l do not see how l am not going to receive what l have thanked you for as though l received it.
He did not thank God after He had received His petition as some of us do.
It was a faith in action because He knew what God could do, and it that it was not impossible for God to do it.
Jesus's confidence was bourne out of what He *....hoped for....* though He had not seen it, Heb 11:1.
God's special invitation to call Him is clear and His assurance that our prayers, if properly channeled, fulfilling His will, He will hear us.
He does not want us to pray, assuming He hears us. He wants us to pray believing He hears us.
He does not want us to pray taking Him for granted that He is under obligation to hear, when we approach Him with disrespect.
2 Chron 7:14 says: First, God must recognize you. Second, humble yourself. Third, do your part by praying, seeking His face appropriately not diversionary, and turning away from sin. After you have done this, He says He will hear you.
He says in Isaiah 55:6-7 *Seek ye the Lord while he may be found, call ye upon him while he is near:*
You can not go the shrine or coven and pray to the living God. Though God is everywhere, there are places where God is, yet God is not.
There are places where God is near, yet far and there are things God sees yet He can not behold. He can not behold sin. In other words, He sees it, yet He can not stand the sight of it. You can not receive His favor when you sin.
Can you pray as Jesus prayed?

Those who know God knows what He can do. They know what He can not do not because He can not do them but because He will not do them for the reasons best known to Him.

Lord, give me the confidence to thank you ahead of everything I ask of you in Jesus name.
