*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*IT IS FINISHED, BUT IS IT?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
John 19:30 *When Jesus therefore had received the vinegar, he said, It is finished: and he bowed his head, and gave up the ghost.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
Jesus said, "It is finished," but is this so with you?
*Scripture Commentaries.*
Jesus's sixth word on the cross was "lt is finished." This signified that God's plan of redemption was complete.
Sin had been dealt with, and we can now receive forgiveness in His Son, Jesus.
It was finished on the cross because the penalty for sin had been paid.
The suffering sin causes was evident in the suffering of Jesus.
The anger of God on those who sin was seen when God forsook Jesus on the cross because His eyes are so pure that it cannot behold iniquity, John 19:4, Hab 1;13.
At the cross, a new life became possible.
Now that blood had been shed, remission and absolution of sin were now possible.
Many people key into Jesus's word that "lt is finished," but nothing sinful has finished. They are not even sure of their salvation.
A major factor behind this is their reluctance to do away with sin and its attendant "attractiveness."
Many people want to be delivered, but they are not willing to give or release what is due to the devil or turn away from him.
If you are still holding on to the devil and his properties, he can not leave you alone.
Whatever is due Satan that is still with you, release to him.
Turn away from him, and run to Jesus today!
*Remorse corner.*
You can not say, "It is finished," as Jesus said, if you have not finished with Satan.
*Call to Word action.*
Mark 12:17 *Then Jesus said to them, “Give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s and to God what is God’s.” And they were amazed at him.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Jesus said, "It is finished," but with you, has it really finished?
If you are still in sin, you are holding on to Satan. Therefore, nothing is finished, not according to Jesus's word, but because of your wrong choices against Jesus's word on the cross.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me as l separate myself and family from Satan, in Jesus name.
Good morning all, and have a blessed day.
God bless you.
