*Scripture Treasure.*

Dan 6:7, 12, 13, 16 *All the presidents of the kingdom, the governors, and the princes, the counsellors, and the captains, have consulted together to establish a royal statute, and to make a firm decree, that whosoever shall ask a petition of any God or man for thirty days, save of thee, O king, he shall be cast into the den of lions.*

*Then they came near, and spake before the king concerning the king's decree; Hast thou not signed a decree, that every man that shall ask a petition of any God or man within thirty days, save of thee, O king, shall be cast into the den of lions? The king answered and said, The thing is true, according to the law of the Medes and Persians, which altereth not.*

*Then answered they and said before the king, That Daniel, which is of the children of the captivity of Judah, regardeth not thee, O king, nor the decree that thou hast signed, but maketh his petition three times a day.*

*Then the king commanded, and they brought Daniel, and cast him into the den of lions. Now the king spake and said unto Daniel, Thy God whom thou servest continually, he will deliver thee.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

The wrath of God is worse than the wrath of man.

*Scripture Commentaries*

Paul mentioned both the works of the flesh and the fruit of the Spirit in Gal 5:19-23.

In Gal 5:23b, he wrote about the fruit of the Spirit that there is no law against them.

Anything written or spoken against the ordained and sacred will of God stands no chance of survival.

There are man-made laws that are against God's established order and holiness (Isaiah 10:1-2).

Such laws like these are metted with tough consequences when disobeyed. The anger generated by neglect or disobedience of such laws is seen in the penalties imposed by law and justice.

Daniel was faced with a law that could be invoke human anger if disobeyed.

Anyone who defied this law is sentenced to the lion's den. It was a law that could not be altered.

Daniel's faith was tested. He obeys the king and lives. He disobeys, and he dies.

As far as he was concerned, He would go by the total trust in God, come what may.

God came through for him in his darkest hour. He shut the mouth of the lions.

There is no law that is not subject to God, and only God-fearing people like Daniel can subdue the fiercest of any such laws.

People like him know that human anger is nothing compared to God's anger. Daniel showed us that when human anger wants to intimidate us in an ungodly way, we must remember God's anger against us if we compromise.

Is your faith tested in an ungodly way?

Do not compromise!

*Remorse corner.*

The wrath of God against sin and disobedience is far worse than human wrath.

*Call to Word action.*

1 Sam 3: 25 *If one man sin against another, the judge shall judge him: but if a man sin against the Lord, who shall intreat for him?..*

*The Christian clarion duty.*

Do not be intimidated by anyone, for judgment belongs to God.

Lord, help me to overcome any intimidation that threatens my faith and trust in you, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and have a blessed day.

God bless you.
