IS YOUR DIE CAST?
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*IS YOUR DIE CAST?*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Phillipians 3: 13-14 : *Brethren, I count not myself to have apprehended: but this one thing I do, forgetting those things which are behind, and reaching forth unto those things which are before,*
*I press toward the mark for the prize of the high calling of God in Christ Jesus.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
When your "die is cast"; the moment you decided to follow Christ, there will be no turning back.
*Scripture Commentaries.*
To some people, their die is not yet cast.
They sing the song, "I have decided to follow Jesus, no turning back, no turning back", but there are more turnings back than there are standings in Him.
The apostle Paul was one of those in the New Testament who once receiving Christ did not turn back, but went fully after God.
We may appear to be staying with Jesus yet may have turned back from following Him. This happens often gradually.
The first major sign is when the things of God do not have any effect or impact on our lives again. It is called gradual fall away, coldness, or apostasy.
Is your love for the things of God waxing cold or gaining momentum?
In Christ, there is no turning back!
*Remorse corner.*
Jesus warns in Luke 9:62: *And Jesus said unto him, No man, having put his hand to the plough, and looking back, is fit for the kingdom of God.*
*Call to Word action.*
Do not be much focussed or carried away by the things you are now seeing in the world. Let your focus be to look upward toward our God who will keep you close to Him, Col 3:2.
*The Christian clarion duty.*
Be on guard. Matt 24:12 says in the last days there are going to be those whose love for the Lord will grow cold. You may not think this way, but in truth, it will happen.
*Prayer.*
Lord, let me not reverse my decision to follow you, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
