*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*

*IS IT GOD OR SATAN? (3)*

*Scripture Treasure.*

James 1:5-7 *If any of you lack wisdom, let him ask of God, that giveth to all men liberally, and upbraideth not; and it shall be given him*

*But let him ask in faith, nothing wavering. For he that wavereth is like a wave of the sea driven with the wind and tossed.*

*For let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.*

*Insight and Highlight.*

Who do you receive from, God or Satan?

*Scripture Commentaries.*

James explains to us that those who have idols in their hearts or whose hearts are torn between God and other mediums can not receive answers to their prayers.

This tells the sinner who has answered his so-called prayers.

Obviously, God is saying to the sinner here that though it may appear to him/her that God has answered, the 'answer' is from his idol, not from God.

There is nothing that happens that God does not know of, but we must be careful to note that God does operate on two platforms, namely, His perfect and permissive will.

All that God has not wished for you, though you received them, are mere permissive will.

Ezekiel 14:4 tells us *Therefore speak unto them, and say unto them, Thus saith the Lord GOD; Every man of the house of Israel that setteth up his idols in his heart, and putteth the stumblingblock of his iniquity before his face, and cometh to the prophet; I the LORD will answer him that cometh according to the multitude of his idols;*

So James 1:7 implies that when you receive anything, you seem to be asking God when you know you are consulting idolatry, he says you should know that what you have received is not from Him.

There is nothing hidden from God because He is sovereign, but we must know that just because He knows about something does not mean He approves or He is pleased with it, Ezk 14:4.

This tells us that many of us receive things from outside God's perfect will for us, and we are so happy with them saying and proclaiming it is God.

Such things have reprisals and hard consequences (Numb 22:12-41).

You must ask yourself, who gave you the miracle you are rejoicing over, knowing well that you sought other sinful ways of receiving them.

When you received a wish, did you ask if it was God's will for you?

Is it God or Satan?

*Remorse corner.*

Who do you receive from?

*Call to Word action.*

Obviously, we know that *A double minded man is unstable in all his ways.*

*......let not that man think that he shall receive anything of the Lord.*

Jam 1:8-9.

*The Christian clarion duty.*

If you love God, you will pray according to His will and will do His will.

*Prayer.*

Lord, help me to seek You in Spirit and, in truth, in Jesus name.

Good morning all, and be blessed as you come into His presence today.

God bless you.
