Hab 2:20 *But the Lord is in his holy temple: let all the earth keep silence before him.*

God is often quiet while men are making noise as if God were speaking.

As much as we know, God speaks, there are times He is quiet, yet children of men make so much noise as if God had spoken.

1 Sam 28:6 tells us God did not answer Saul when he enquired of Him.

God can be quiet for reasons best known to Him, and this tells us no one can change His resolve to do as He wishes at any time.

However, children of men make noise when God is quiet. In fact, many of them carry themselves as if they know God more than what God has made them to know Him or claim to know God more than God Himself.

Lam 3:37 tells us not to say anything or should say what God has not said how much more expect it to come to pass.

*Who is he that saith, and it cometh to pass, when the Lord commandeth it not?*

We must abstain from saying what God has not said because it is only He who commands things to happen.

Though the devil manipulates to command things to happen. He can only do this under God’s permissive will, Job 1:12.

However, remember that to command under a permissive will is different from commanding in God's own perfect will.

When God is quiet, men devise their own way to pretend to people that God had spoken to them.

Prov 16:9 tells us that a man's heart can devise his way.

It further opens our eyes to know that no one should allow his heart to devise his ways but should rely on God to direct his steps: *A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps.*

How noisy can people be when God is quiet?

Pay more attention to God.

Do not say a word when He has not said anything.

Is God quiet? Then wait on Him!

Psalms 27:14 - *Wait on the LORD: be of good courage, and he shall strengthen thine heart: wait, i say, on the LORD.*

Jeremiah 23:32

*Behold, I am against them that prophesy false dreams, saith the Lord, and do tell them, and cause my people to err by their lies, and by their lightness; yet I sent them not, nor commanded them: therefore they shall not profit this people at all, saith the Lord.*

His quietness may require that you wait more on Him. His answers by way of His yeses, or nos may be His own way of answering you.

Lord, help me to be patient to speak, waiting for you to speak before l speak, in Jesus name.
