Our tears are never so real as when they receive God's answer.

For the Christian, when trouble comes, the urge to fast and pray comes to us first.
This is what is expected of us, but it must be done with understanding.
We often take this spiritual exercise first, disregarding what is needful of us to do by God's directives.
The emotions that come with prayers of desperation can not be overemphasized.
The motive behind our prayers to God matters to Him more than our prayers or the emotions that accompany such prayers.
God is not as moved by our emotions as much, we think.
Hannah's faith was at its most tested
Her faith was never so real as when it demanded something painful from her.
The pain was her barreness, and what the pain took from her was her tears.
Her tears moved God.
Her tears were never so real until they received God's answer.
Whereas some people pray with tears, but their tears do not move God. Their tears are their own way of trying to whip up God's sympathy, Deut 1:45 *And ye returned and wept before the Lord; but the Lord would not hearken to your voice, nor give ear unto you.*
Let us always remember that our tears will move God only if we do not regard iniquity in our heart.
