Spending too much time or hanging out with someone may cause you to pick up their habits.

People can be influenced by association.

The Bible warns us against some people's settled or regular behavioral patterns or practices, especially bad ones, that are often hard for them to give up.

For example, people who are quick to anger, people who are addicted to alcohol, drugs, idolatry, immorality, etc.

The bible condemns uncontrolled or unguarded anger, and it refers to wine as a mocker. It warns us to avoid being tempted by its sparkling color, Prov 20:1, 23:31.

There are people we need to be careful of.

In fact, the Bible admonishes we avoid being with them.

Attitudes are transferable. They are highly contagious.

As good attitudes are transfered by contact or association so also are bad attitudes.

Bad attitudes can easily rub off on us than good ones. The Bible warns more of bad attitudes, impacting us more than they do good ones, 1 Cor 15:33.

We must be careful of associating with people who fall into wrongful habits that have become part of them.

To fail to avoid them is to open doors for their evil influence into our lives.

Becareful of people whose wrong attitudes have become their automatic responses. Such people never really have to think about correcting this attitude anymore.

They do not have to think or check themselves about doing the thing anymore.

What attitudes have you developed since your association with a newfound friend or colleague.

Lord, keep me away from wrongful association that may rub off on me.

Help me to resist evil attitudes that may come into my life by contact or association, in Jesus name.
