IF WE PRAY
*WISDOM FOR TODAY.*
*IF WE PRAY......"*
*Scripture Treasure.*
Esther 5:1 *Now it came to pass on the third day, that Esther put on her royal apparel, and stood in the inner court of the king's house, over against the king's house: and the king sat upon his royal throne in the royal house, over against the gate of the house.*
*Insight and Highlight.*
If we pray, we can expect deliverance from God.
Ps 107:6 *Then they cried unto the LORD in their trouble, and he delivered them out of their distresses.*
*Scripture Commentaries.*
When we pray, God listens and acts.
Events that followed Esther's three day fast showed that, if and when we pray, God listens and delivers, 2 Chron 7:14, Ps 107:28.
The miraculous intervention of God over the Jews in Shushan stands as an encouragement to every child of God that with God, nothing shall be impossible, ref Luke 1:37.
Complete destruction of the Jews was concluded, Haman led the genocidal plot and the king's decree finally put a seal on it, Esther 3.
God’s step by step intervention and how a heart once given to approving a destruction was changed to a saving heart, is most compelling to every believer.
First, king Ahaserus who once approved the genocide, sentenced his own second in command to death, Esther 7:9.
Second, the king further reversed his decree to allow total destruction of the Jews (Esther 3:13) to a decree that gave them power to protect themselves and destroy their enemies Esther 8:11:
*Wherein the king granted the Jews which were in every city to gather themselves together, and to stand for their life, to destroy, to slay and to cause to perish, all the power of the people and province that would assault them, both little ones and women, and to take the spoil of them for a prey,*
If we pray, there is no heart God cannot touch, Prov 21:1 *The king's heart is in the hand of the Lord, as the rivers of water: he turneth it whithersoever he will.*
There is no one too high neither is there anyone too low, God cannot reach.
*Remorse corner.*
Have you prayed concerning that situation today?
*Call to Word action.*
Psalm 57:6 *They have prepared a net for my steps; my soul is bowed down: they have digged a pit before me, into the midst whereof they are fallen themselves. Selah.*
*The Christian clarion duty.*
If we pray, we can be assured God can change things. He can turn the table against our enemies. They can fall into the pit they dug for us.
*Prayer.*
Lord, help me to pray when l am expected to pray. Let me not fail or faint in the time of prayer, in Jesus name.
Good morning all and have a blessed day today.
God bless you.
