*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *HUSBANDS HAVE EMOTIONS TOO!.* *Scripture Treasure* Songs of Solomon (SoS) 5:4 *My beloved put in his hand by the hole of the door, and my bowels were moved for him.* *Insight and Highlight.* Though men may withdraw or seem unmindful, they still think of their wives. When they knock on the door, let wives' emotions be awakened. *Scripture Commentaries.* Men have emotions and they often have regrets over their failures. A man is characterised by authority. He had authority from the begining, Gen 2:19-20. After the fall, his authority was distorted. Eve was first deceived and as a result the woman became vulnerably rebellious. The battle line was now drawn between the devil, the man and the woman. For the man to prevail in authority, God recommends knowledge as a weapon, among many other weapons, in the man's dealing with the woman, ref 1 Per 3,:7. Know your woman, be knowledgeable about their emotions. There is a saying that goes "Hell has no fury as that of a woman scorned by a people they hold dear". Women are described as the "weaker vessel" not for strength but for the their trust at the onset. Most of them truly trust and love with their hearts at the onset. To the very loving ones, when they hold you dear, a breach of such trust and love continually, will spark serious problems into the home. As an act of relatiation disastrous occurences take its root in the home.. When a good woman is troubled, the resolve out of turbulent times do not come at a cheap price. Do not take undue advantage of true and submissive love. Some women are well behaved, cultured and are well mannered. Do not abuse their Godly virtues. There are those who do not live up to expectations. These categories of women must also realise that men have emotions too. Men feel pain and know when they are not loved. Women work on yourselves. The bowels of the Shulammite in SoS 5:4 moved for her beloved. The bowels are the seat of emotions. Love your husband. Drive him to love you passionately. As a wife, do you feel for your man? *Remorse corner.* Let there be mutual respect and friendship. True love is friendship in marriage. *Call to Word action.* SoS 8:6 *Set me as a seal upon thine heart, as a seal upon thine arm: for love is strong as death; jealousy is cruel as the grave: the coals thereof are coals of fire, which hath a most vehement flame.* *The Christian clarion duty.* SoS 8:7 *Many waters cannot quench love, neither can the floods drown it: if a man would give all the substance of his house for love, it would utterly be contemned.* *Prayer.* Lord help wives to awaken their love and emotions for their husbands in Jesus name.
