HE IS RISEN AS HE SAID

*WISDOM FOR TODAY.* *..HE IS RISEN, AS HE SAID.* *Scripture Treasure.* Luke 23:46–► *And when Jesus had cried out with a loud voice, He said, "Father, 'into Your hands I commit My spirit.'" Having said this, He breathed His last.* *Insight and Highlight.* Isaiah 25:8–► *He will swallow up death forever, And the Lord God will wipe away tears from all faces;* *Scripture Commentaries.* Today, the day of resurrection, marks the day of victory to all believers. It is open to the whole world and replaces the Sabbath day, the seventh day as a day of rest and worship to Sunday, the first day of the week. All believers must look forward to Sunday as a day to meet with the Lord in the company of other believers in fellowship. It is the day, He overcame death: we only go through physical death, not as a termination but as a transition and we live with Him forever more. He bore all the suffering and pain of crucifixion so as to wipe away our tears and remove our reproach. We can bounce back from pain and be restored to good health. There is no condition that remains irreversible. Resurrection brought life to mankind in fulfilment to God's purpose and mission. *Remorse corner.* By His death, He swallowed death and by His resurrection many as believed were made to live. *Call to Word action.* Matt 28:6: *He is not here: for he is risen, as he said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay. Matt 28:6.* *The Christian clarion duty.* The way to show appreciation for the ultimate price Christ has paid for us is to live our life for and to please Him only! *Prayer.* Lord, let your power of resurrection resurrect in my life, in Jesus name. Good morning all and Happy Resurrection Day. Be blessed as you come to celebrate in His presence, in Jesus name. God bless you.
